Mihir S: perfect for german shepherds. It does prevent from barking loudly in public. but they can bark softly even with the mussle on.. but its good for the dogs to train them for not barking.

Brenda: The construction is well made, but the ability for the dog to not get out of it is totally untrue. Although I have measured it properly along with other items purchased that said the same thing. My dog must be Houdini because he gets out of all of the purchases made for this use

Kindle CustomerKindle Customer: The media could not be loaded. As soon as this item got delivered today, I put it on my 6month old Australian Shepard. I chose a medium size. Fits perfect. The velcro strap on the Muzzle portion adjusts great and the cushion is very soft. I had no problem putting this on my dog. I got it because she is extremely reactive and her bark is DEEP for a little girl. She also has a tendency to be aggressive towards my other 2 dogs. As soon as I put this on her, she tried barking and snarling at the other dog that came up to sniff out what we were up to and....woof....the quietest whisper of a bark. And she froze...she was like where da heck did my voice go?? She got sad, and is now laying down with it still on, pouting. I plan on using this for walks in public areas. I love the fact that it's basically a gentle leader collar and I can clip the leash to the front of her snout. And it attaching to her actual collar is a bonus. I'm sure in time, once she gets used to this muzzle, she'll figure out how to bark around it or tear it off. I look forward to trying to train her better with this in public. Only time will tell! Troy: Go for the smallest size possible. Our dogs measurement was barely under 10 inches so we went with the large which is 9.4 inches to 14.9. We didn't get the medium which is 6.7 inches to 10.2 inches because the variance wasn't enough for much adjustment. The muzzle fits around the mouth well enough, but the distance on the strap going from the muzzle back to the neck is too long to keep the muzzle in place. Our dog quickly used the claw on her foot to hook the muzzle and pull it off easily. We added the extra collar connector which was totally useless. It MIGHT work if you had a body harness to connect to, but the collar just pulls up easily and the muzzle slips right off again. Even if I were to (but I did not) adjust the collar to where it was borderline chocking the dog, it still would not provide enough additional support to prevent the muzzle from being pulled off. I'm assuming the collar connector was added after manufacturing to make people think the muzzle would stay on after the original model failed so many times, but it is about as helpful as putting a band aid on an arterial bleed or putting on pants to protect people from the odor of someone having gas.
