aport: This hat is overall of great quality, only two things I did not like about it, first the back strap was made of an elastic material, so even when you adjusted the strap it felt too loose after a while, second if you use this hat for working in or hiking you will get condensation buildup inside. I bought this hat to protect my head while hiking, I have bumped my head several times going under fallen trees and protruding limbs and I take an anticoagulant so I like to minimize the head knocking, this hat was an attempt to do that. It’s a great hat, just doesn’t breath as well as I liked and it’s not really designed for what I was trying to do with it. Fix the back elastic strap and it’s a great hat.

AlainAlain: Very well made quality product. I'm sure it would protect my head. I don't consider it lightweight though. It's not very comfortable. A standard is a large as far as I am concerned; too big for my head. I wear a 7 1/8 hat. I don't agree that a standard would fit up up 7 1/2 (59.7 cm). The label inside states 56 cm to 64 cm. This seems more accurate but your head probably needs to be at least 59 cm to wear this hat. If this was published on the add, I would not have ordered it.

Champlehman: My poor father is notorious for hitting his head. It turned into a family joke at some point! I even bought him his own hardhat for Christmas one year! Lol!
Now that he is older, nothing has changed!
He and my mom just moved into their new house. He was so proud of himself one day because he indeed hit his head on something in the garage and came in the house just to brag that he hit his head but he was wearing his hardhat! Lol!
Then he said he became too hot wearing it so he took it off for a little while and, unfortunately, while it was off he hit his head again on the corner of the garage door rails which are very sharp metal.
God love him, he walked into the house and my mom and I were working on other things and he yelled out that he hit his head again! We shook our heads and smiled at each other. Then we heard him say, “ I think it’s serious this time”. When we walked over to see him we were shocked at the amount of blood that was coming down his head.
We rushed him to the emergency room and he did in fact have to have staples. My poor daddy! He’s in his 70s. when I heard that he took off the hardhat because it was getting too hot for him I am...

Beat a ’Bhèist: This is a "fantastic" product- idea- probably from "horse-riding competition" "Safety" caps-perhaps??? I would recommend this- similar products to those veterans with TBI, etc... if participating in "activity" that might result in "additional" shocks to the head as well as all those work in "warehouse" environment, attics-crawl spaces, etc....

Furthermore, I do not understand why Federal employees, such as US Postal workers etc...in my Region of the Gulf Coast, are not required to utilize similar to protect their heads from "falling" packages, delivery vehicle accident's- "catastrophic" break-downs etc.... The US Postal Service and other "federal" agencies used to have "uniform" STANDARDS and wore "distinctive uniforms (ALL)" and "pith-like-jungle" helmets, eye protection, hand and foot protection, plus "high-visibility" protection for "low-light" conditions, that used to be "enforced" once upon a time! What happens, if in fact a Federal employee, not wearing OSHA approved or International Standard approved, safety gear has an "on-duty" accident that requires "severe" medical attention, or even minor, and were in fact not wearing "proper" safety equipment?
