John: You're gonna have to spend about $250 on some Blam 165 speakers, to match the quality of these Skar speakers. The bass hits clean and hard once you get the crossover in the head unit adjusted for them. I definitely recommend them.

EricEric: These replaced a low-end pair of RF 5.25s mounted in small boxes in the back of an extended cab pickup as the rear channels. I had to raise the crossover frequency to limit how much low-end they tried to reproduce and they sounded pretty good, and lasted awhile, but couldn't stand up to the constant abuse I put them through and finally let go.
These are twice the rated RMS power of the previous speakers and, based on my experience with several other SKAR products (subs, amp, full range speakers and these), I expect them to perform well and last a long time.
While I wouldn't recommend 5.25" speakers to anyone for BASS, the frequency response on these extends all the way down to 50Hz so I was able to lower the high-pass crossover frequency and flatten the cutoff slope a bit to let them cover a bit more range and the difference is definitely noticeable in terms of volume and sound quality.
10/10 would buy again in a hearbeat!

Ray GRay G: The media could not be loaded. After trying these out in my truck, I wanted them on my bike asap. The fact that they sound so good with the stock radio is amazing & can’t wait to add the sub & amp. Skar TX525’s actually outperform the Infinity Reference 6.5” that I had on the bike with no amp. Very pleased with these speakers so far.

Daniel Becker: There is NO mounting hardware included with this product! This isn't a mistake. I called Skar and they told me that they don't supply screws, flat nuts or wiring/connectors with their car speakers. This isn't the end of the world. But just plan on having to make a trip to Ace Hardware and spend and extra $10 getting the hardware that's needed to install these...
