Martin: The attachment hardware was quite a bit different than what the picture shows, it came with more of a wood screw with finer threads. I have installed it and it does work well (saves the back) but I will have to find a different screw. That's why i can only give sturdiness a 1 star.

Amazon Customer: The device works well but the screw supplied (which is different than the picture) has threads that are too small to hold it securely to the end of the handle. McGivering is required. I injected a dollop of Gorilla glue original (the one that expands as it solidifies) into the top of the handle, screwed the device in, hung the putter with the handle down when the glue is still liquid, let the glue solidify around the screw. Holds well so far.

Steve C: Very happy with with this grabber. Works really well. They are flexible enough to make picking up the ball easy, but seem sturdy enough to last quite a while. Time will tell on the last point, but at the moment I am very pleased with this purchase. I should add that I have fixed mine on a wooden stick (dowel) and use it to pick up table tennis balls, but I would imagine that they work equally well for their intended purpose.
