Kate: I have been eyeing this for a long time, but couldn’t justify the price.
Well, we have two big dogs (100lb Akita/GSD and 70lb Belgian Mal/GSD) so you can imagine how much food we go through. Our container finally broke and I decided to go for it.
This was 100% worth the money! I can now fit a whole bag in here. I love that it’s air tight and has a scoop. And it takes up less space.
If you’re thinking about it, get it! It’s worth it!

Nana05: MONEY well spent! GOOD BYE open kibble bag! The slim size and height of the Xlarge container fits a 40lb bag of dog food perfectly. The latching handle is sturdy, easy to operate, and holds up well. I can't be more satisfied. Initially, after reading the reviews I was skeptical about the capability it could actually hold. The solution I realized was to fill the container a third at a time, compressing the kibble, then adding another third, and so on. I am so happy to no longer deal with open kibble bags or those ugly bulky plastic dog food containers.
The height of this container is very esthetically pleasing. I wish they would make a container, narrower, not shorter, that will hold 16lbs of kibble.

Fireheart: We are military and are currently stationed in Louisiana. It gets very very hot, and very very humid down here. We used to have a plastic bin for the dog food that would go with us everywhere. This caused the bin to slowly start getting air gaps around the lid but nothing major. Well, one day, I went to scoop the food and over half had molded and the entire thing was infested with ants. Between a giant crack that had happened on the bottom, the ants and moisture were making it in between the seal and plastic around the lid. So I decided to splurge on an airtight container. This thing is fantastic. I wish I went a size smaller, but the size smaller was somehow more expensive because the deal that day lol. So I got this beautiful, easy to clean, has a magnetic scoop for the food, AIRTIGHT, food storage container. If you are willing to spend the money, DO IT! I have zero regrets. None at all.

Kyla Corriveau: Ok, this thing is super freaking expensive and I really had to sell my husband on buying it. That said, it keeps the dog food very fresh and looks beautiful in our kitchen. The scoop is super useful for measuring out food for our puppies and I love the way that it attaches magnetically to the inside of the lid. Very sleek but more than just a pretty face as it’s also very functional.

Joo: I have several simplehuman products and love the brand. The delivery was mega fast.
There is no doubt this is a great design and I love the magnetic scoop. I have the XL size pet food bin.
Unfortunately it is let down by the wheels.
Although they spin freely when lifted they do not work when on the floor no matter how you tilt it, they also seem very flimsy compared to the rest of the pet food bin.
As I have the XL size this is essential to move it around. I see from the reviews on here and also the superhuman website that this is a common occurrence and no suggestions found on there by simplehuman
helped.
If you don’t need to move it around this won’t be a problem.
Also there was a small dent in the side. I feel this wouldn’t have happened if the sides were stronger and it was packaged better. The box it came in wasn’t very strong at all and did not protect against dents.
I have decided to keep it as I couldn’t be sure that a replacement would be any better.
If the wheel issue was fixed and also the outer sides of the superhuman pet food bin made stronger this would be perfect. (Packaging also needs to be stronger)

Fit a 50# bag of dog kibble- your results may vary, based on the kibble density and size.
Concerned about reaching the last 30 cups of food, because of the depth of the container and how long of a reach it is.
It sealed, it skidded to its new home - not sure the wheels turn, seems to work.
Will need washing with hot water between each bag of food so the fat doesn’t work it’s way into the voids of the inner plastic liner to go rancid after a period of time.
Is it worth the effort - repackaging, loading the large item into a vehicle, unloading it to drag the box to return it because of imperfections that would probably occur after several years of use?
