Carla B.: The author is quite a good artist and she has leveraged her ability in making sigils. I called these "art sigils" since they use symbols from your imagination. However, not everyone is artistically inclined. I was hoping there would be information around creating other types of sigils, such as a witch's wheel, numeric square, and runes. I was able to find that information from other sources, but still feel this is a good addition to my library.

Witch_path: L' autrice, un artista, ci porta nel suo mondo, con un approcio ai sigilli che differesce totalmente dal metodo classico basato sulla letteratura e sulle lettere.
Il volume ci insegna non solo storia e simbologia dei sigilli, e i loro significati ed usi, ma è soprattutto un quaderno personale su cui scrivere manualmente le proprie annotazioni sul significato che veniamo invitati a dare e capire personalmente, ad ogni linea, punto, riga. Fino ad arrivare con spazi liberi per il disegno e la sperimentazione, alla creazione di veri e propri sigilli personali, costruiti con un insieme di questi simboli assemblati per ottenere li scopo ed il significato desiderati.
A mio parere l' unico modo per un efficace funzionamento dei propri sigilli è sentirseli dentro e crearli senza essere bloccati da regole quasi accademiche su di essi.
Questo è il libro che ogni praticante neofita dovrebbe avere per iniziare ad approciarsi e sentire la potenza e l' energia del suo tratto, ed al quale ogni praticante con esperienza dovrebbe tornare a sentire un rapporto energetico istintivo e puro con questi simboli.

Elyse Welles: I loved the progression of this book from historical context, to the artists methods, to tips for you to get started, and especially the exercises in thinking through sigils and purpose. When I have created sigils in the past, I have gone with what came to me, and found deeper meaning later. This book helped me find my footing in the why of my own thought process, and build on that. I also loved the look at Zakroff's more detailed work. I would love to attend a seminar or panel with her in the future. I recommend this book to any witch, advanced or beginner, even it you have been making sigils for a while, as her approach is unique and the more perspective the better in our Path!

Oli: This book COMPLETELY changed how I do sigil work! I've tried many methods, the "make a phrase, take out vowels, scramble letters" method, that wheel letter method, it just didn't feel right, was too rigid for me. This book? It opened up a whole new world to sigils. It doesn't have to be some confusing letter mash-up that you burn and forget about. Sigils can be powerful works of art!
It's seriously packed with information and a great book if you want to dive deeper into sigils in a less than tradition fashion. You'll find witchcraft history, symbol and number meanings, sigil method comparisons, some brief element and zodiac info, I can't even name it all, there's so much to absorb! There are even little spaces meant for you to write *your* interpretation of different symbols and what they mean to you, and I LOVE that. It makes it that much more personal and a wonderful reference book.
In my experience, I didn't start having real, noticeable, success in sigil work until I dived into doing it this way! I have many different witchcraft and occult books, but Sigil Witchery is the book I go back to most for references, or just to reread and refresh my memory! I definitely...

Elena Palomino: Good read, but I do not resonate with it. The author seems very knowledgeable about the topic and I really enjoyed the introductory and history sections.
As per the sigil crafting section, I do not resonate with some of the sigils presented as examples. However, it seems a good book for beginners and might be good if it works for you.
I personally feel more attracted to even more abstract sigils.

Rebecca Mazzarella: Io sono una praticante di sigilli, amo i simboli e spesso ricorro a questa tecnica per focalizzarmi su un obiettivo, per attirare qualcosa nella mia vita o come semplice regalo a qualcuno che ne ha bisogno.
La mia conoscenza è piuttosto limitata, lo ammetto. Tendo ad affidarmi molto al mio istinto, a quella sensazione "a pelle" come si suol dire che ti spinge in una direzione inaspettata e non sai perché. Proprio questa sensazione mi ha spinto a comprare questo libro che altro non è che una guida pratica per coloro che vogliono avvicinarsi all'arte della fabbricazione dei sigilli.
Oltre al fatto che è scritto davvero bene, l'ho trovato molto interessante sotto molti punti di vista.
In primo luogo spiega cosa sono i sigilli e ci regala un'infarinatura generale di storia: da dove vengono, quando sono nati, quali sono i simboli primordiali ecc...
Seconda cosa che ho apprezzato è proprio il consiglio di credere in se stessi, nella propria magia, ascoltare il nostro istinto e avere fede.
Altro motivo per cui ho amato questo libro è che l'autrice ha condiviso con noi i suoi appunti, i disegni e anche tatuaggi che ha composto per se stessa o per altre persone.
