The Shop-Vac 5895200 2.5-Peak Horsepower All-around EZ Series Wet/Dry Vacuum is the perfect tool for commercial cleaning. With its powerful 2.5 peak horsepower motor, 7-foot hose, and two extension wands, it offers superior performance and convenience. Its Type B Filter Bag and Type R Foam Sleeve make it energy-efficient and easy to use. Plus, its high-quality construction ensures it won’t wear out easily. Whatever your cleaning needs, the Shop-Vac 5895200 is the perfect choice for Commercial Wet-Dry Vacuums. Amazon Customer: Very sturdy device with adequate sized container for dirt . Not intended for large, wet spills. I got it to vacuum the hardwood floors in my 3 bedroom bungalow.
I would have kept it but for the short height of wand and hose. I am a 5'7" female and this machine's height would suit someone 5' - 5'3".

Guillaume Gaudreault: This vaccum has it all. A filter for dry stuff, a foam filter for wet or dry, a carpet nozzle, a dusting nozzle, and a lightweight hose that's easy on the shoulders. The 2 extensions are good, but i wish there was a third extension because i am 6ft tall and i find it just a little too small. The carpet nozzle does not stay flat when you push or pull. The carpet nozzle, with it's brushes, will push away small debris on bare floor. This vaccum is not silent, but it's not much louder than my old Hoover bagged vaccum. Casters are great, this vaccum follows me around better than any other vaccum i've tried because it is so lightweight. Even Dyson's ball does not work as well.
Pros (Compared to a real household vaccum cleaner):
Lightweight
Can be wall mounted for storage
Can pick up liquids
Can be used without a collection bag for big messes
Cons (Compared to a real household vaccum cleaner):
Hose does not swivel, no handle.
Not very good at floor cleaning.
Expensive collection bags (See "Shop-Vac 90660 Type LL")
This shop-vac is perfect for someone on a budget, because it sucks better than a broom, but i don't recommend a Shop-Vac instead of a...

MissDice: I like the All-Around Products, but this one isn't as good as the smaller size. It is incredibly loud and has the awful hole that blows all the stuff/debris around. I should have read more reviews before I purchased and bought the smaller size that I used to have. Unfortunately, these little vacuums break down quite frequently and need to be replaced in 5 years or regular use. I paid over $100 for this and regret it. They used to sell around $45-50 which was okay. Still a great suction and does a really good job, but I use it for the stairs and small jobs, so a smaller one would have been better. Don't like that previous years parts don't fit this as I have at least four sets of hoses from past All-Around vacuums that are now useless. Again - beware of the hole blowing the dust at the back of the vacuum everywhere!!

Mazalan: I should start by saying that I have all hardwood and laminate flooring with a few rugs and I only use these machines for general cleaning in the house. This is my second All Around Shop Vac. The first - their smallest model - lasted through 7 years of household drudgery until the motor died. I bought this slightly larger model and am just as satisfied. I have several other vacuums - all very well known makes including a robot vac and all good in their way - but this is the go-to machine for general cleanups. It has a powerful motor so produces great suction and will pick up just about anything that you can throw at it. No brushes to clean or disentangle. It is light and very easy to move about with easy roll feet and a small footprint. The only downside to this new model is that it has a blower (output) as well as the vacuum suction (input) in the housing. The older model did not. As a result, I have to move or weight down anything that is likely to be blown about while using the machine. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an all around domestic machine.

D.: This Shop Vac All Around EZ is next to the best vacuum I believe I have ever used. After sucking up all the cat fur from off the perch and off the rugs, after using the vacuum to suck up the dirty water after cleaning the perch and after using the blower feature to send tree leaves flying off the sidewalk, dust out of the garage, and spiders off the porch, I am persuaded no vacuum of this size could do as well.
BTW, I tried using it like a Rainbow Rexair, which is my favorite vacuum of all time but can no longer afford, and much to my dismay, I did not find that to be a good idea. My experience confirmed why using it this way is not found in the owner's manual. Nothing serious happened, but it isn't really designed to do that.
Shop Vac gave me the SKU# 549712 for the vacuum bags in case one would like to have Lowe's find it in their data base. These bags easily slip right into a sleeve on the inside of the canister and seem to be impervious to leakage of even the finest dust.

Yesterday in using the vac an unusual sound could be heard not heard before when previously using it. The constant hum of the vacuum was intermittently interrupted by...

Kirk D. Skorzak: This vacuum works great whether I am using around my basement workshop area to clean up sawdust, metal shavings, etc or upstairs in my living area. I find it particularly handy when using the cup brush to clean the occasional dust webs that accumlate around the ceiling and corners joints, it is small and light enough to hold while in use, and the wheels allow it to easily pull around.
I noticed a couple of negative comments here that I feel need addressing. One concerns the attachments, complaining they are cheap and brittle plastic. I cannot agree with this. The attachments I received are sturdy and durable, the material seems to be like a combination of plasic and rubber that holds up well, and believe me I cannot be and am not overly cautious when I am using them in the basement. They are
durable and do not show other than the normal wear one would expect.
Another comment regarded the recommended use of filter discs for picking up dry materials. This vacuum allows you two options, you can opt to use the filter discs - which are optional and not included - or use a normal type vacuum bag - one of which is included. Either option will work equally as well but you...

SA: I have used this vacuum both in my car and house carpet (dry) cleaning. It works great and I’m very happy. I think I should have tested it for wet cleaning too. Let’s see if I do such experiment in future and will update.
