Ame M.: Love these pens! As far as I can tell, this brand model is the only pen that comes in Bold ink (1.0) and the colors I use are pretty vibrant (blue, black, green, red). I have been using these pens for a while now, and I'm sure there are competitive brands out there, which I will be checking out. But for now, if you're looking for a gel pen that is bold ink, Sharpie has it! NOTE: Due to the bold pen points, pens do not last as long before drying up and makes it difficult deciding on purchase because price is $$

Wrightaway: I have a love hate relationship with Sharpie Gel Pens.

The main gripe I have about Sharpie pens is that they aren't reliable. I found this out a couple years ago when I got the white 0.7 ones... I don't know if when I go to write something that it'll work... sometimes I get one out of the box and have no issues.. the next one I get can't be bothered to put out ink after a day of no use unless you swirl it around a bit... the most recent one worked great for 2 weeks then just decided to stop even tho it has half a tube left of ink. Whats the point in using it when Inkjoy has a 1.0 that works all the time.

When they do work, I'm a bit obsessed with this 1.0 line... I use them as headers in my school notes. I make lists with them - I love the thicc look of the line. But looking on my lapdesk right now, there's my inkoy 1.0 - because the Sharpie is in my desk trashcan after it stopped working the day after I got it out of the box. Sigh.

Sharpie, pleaseeeeee fix this issue and I'll sing your praises as the best 1.0 gel pen - It's been years since we knew this was a thing. And you are SHARPIE. If Inkjoy and Gelocity and Energel can write immediately I'm sure you can...

William Marks: Treat yourself to a 1.0 mm gel pen. Strong, fluid, BOLD lines. It makes it really hard to go back to lesser pens.

These pens are really great. They feel good in the hand. They have a great clickyness, and they make a really strong dark line.

After I took a plane trip with my first ones, they came back oddly deformed so that they didn't click fluidly or cleanly. I banished those pens to my work desk and splurged on a whole box of these for at home. Oh the sweet, sweet, clicking that reigns now.

If you're thinking "I don't need a whole box of pens," let me be the little devil angel on your shoulder whispering, "Just do it. You deserve it."

atmjatmj: In a way, I hate to write this review. These are my favorite pens and everyone will want them too.
Well maybe if I write this, they will keep producing them, because everyone wants them.

Maybe the rest of you aren’t like this, but I appreciate a nice pen. That is measured by how they feel in your hand, how they feel when you are writing and how they look on the page. This pen wins on all 3 fronts.
RUBBERIZED GRIP, BUT SLIM
While this pen has a rubberized grip, it still is a slim pen. It feels good in your hand.
RETRACTING
I like a retracting pen. No cap to keep track of. Less likely to get ink on stuff you don’t want to.
PEN CLIP
This is minor as most pens have them, but if you have broken a clip on a pen, you find you lose them faster. The combo of a clip and retracting is a winning one
SMOOTH GLIDE WHEN WRITING
Gel pens have the smoothest writing feel. As a person who spent years on a drawing board, you learn that if the pencil (in that case) has too much drag your hand will hurt at the end of the day. This pen moves like it is on ice and it has an even flow of ink.
BOLD LINE
