Michel J. Gaudet: Well, I really LOVE this clock. I like the gentle ticking of the second hand; some might find it bothersome. Me, it's a big PLUS.

I have ALWAYS tried avoiding a battery clock for waking up. But others tell me to just replace the battery once-per-year and stop griping about it - lol! I have always trusted the good-old WIND-UP clocks. However, I really like the "Old-style" look, and the sound is PLENTY loud to get my dead-butt up and out the house. And, if too loud for ya, just dampen the sound with some tissue stuffed under the inside of the bells!

I would recommend this to family & friends.

Amazon Customer: This clock works wonderfully. The time is very accurate and it’s easy to read as a bedside clock. The classic alarm clock look is nice and it looks good sitting on my desk. I hate hearing the alarm go off and I want to throw it at the wall but it’s loud and it wakes me up every time.

Veronica Mata: The media could not be loaded.  Great alarm clock and very easy to use. Just what I need to get me out of bed. My phone alarm would take several minutes to wake me up and so would my Alexa. I’ve always had a regular battery operated clock as backup and my old clock conked out so I’m glad I can get the clock and alarm clock in one. One requires one AA battery. And it’s a steal for the price.

Will's Ratings: This clock is exactly as advertised. It has a very gentle ticking sound which, while quiet, I find soothing and even calming. The alarm is very loud but then, that is what it's supposed to be. You won't sleep through it. If I could, I would make only one change. I would like to have the hands/face backlit with an led that could be switched on and off. The current light must have a button held depressed in order to illuminate. This clock is well worth what I paid for it. Would definitely buy again.

Francis Lindsey: I order this as a cheap alarm clock loud enough to wake (somewhat deaf) me. It fills that role quite well and would rate a 5 except for 2 factors: (1) The bells make this a tall clock with a narrow base. It is easily knocked over. I don't know how many falls to the floor it will withstand. (2) The shut off switch is on the left side of the rear panel. As a righty, I find this inconvenient (although I expect I will adapt over time. Oh, and the glow in the dark hands don't.
