AUMAN: I looked at many products, and I don't see any competitors that offer a product like this. The mounting ears make it really easy to install. The slight angle of the upper stem allows it to be installed flush to my post, and it puts the hose at a convenient angle. The stem of this valve rises very high when fully open which allows for greatly reduced flow restriction as compared to most spigot valves. The valve shows all the marks of a high quality product, and my past experience with this manufacturer gives me confidence that it will give years of reliable service.

LynnLynn: My outdoor faucet (hose bib) had fused together with the hose as well as the everything else. I'd tried products (Liquid Wrench, etc) as well as force to remove them and finally gave up. I bought a tool by Ridgid to cut the copper pipe (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001P307PO?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), I deburred the pipe with a Shark Bite tool (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000K6QFSU?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details), then slipped the Shark Bite garden valve onto it. It stuck at first so we lightly hammered on each side and it slipped right onto the pipe. My only feedback is that the hose comes out nearly parallel to the ground, so I'm going to buy a 45-degree attachment so it points down toward the ground (it's right next to a walkway and the hose blocks part of it).

alcaralcar: I've been meaning (for 8 years now) to run a water line from our house into our attached garage. The main reason was for our fridge ice maker but I also wanted a hose access for those winter months. I finally decided to tackle the project so I turned to the "SharkBite" fittings.

These are simply amazing. So easy to use and super fast. Once you prep your line properly, you simply push the line in the fitting, make sure it's seated all the way and Done! No more soldering. I especially like the design of the tap itself. It has a nice grip. These are amazing especially for close quarters. Even if you mess up, you can simply remove them and fix your error.

Overall, these are a lifesaver. I know many people say these type of fittings don't last but I've seen homes that have had them for years with no leaks. I took a chance with these and I'm confident they will last a long time (hopefully forever). I highly recommend these especially if plumbing is not your thing.
