I have two shelties they shed all the time. I have a Shark Rocket but its not pet friendly. This vacuum the round roller doesn't get all junked up. i ran it and filled the tank. the tank is huge. i have a bad back bending is hard nothing about this vacuum requires me to bend, everything is in nonbending reach. its sturdy, to do that they did make it heavy but its easy to push. it lifts away. the suction hose is perfect length. the electrical cord is long enough i can do two room without unplugging. hardwood floors adjust suction. i love the washable filters (money savers) and the air freshener, i hate a stinky smelling vacuum. i love that i can attach the attachments to the vacuum i tend to lose them. for pet and non pet homes, this vacuum is perfect. Shark knocked it out of the park. it arrived fast thanks amazon.

LThompson: We purchased this 2 months ago & we're really happy with this vacuum! We have FOUR Australian Shepherds & have been Dyson users for years, but we won't go back. The Shark is powerful, super versatile when going between carpet & hardwood floors, moving from floors to furniture, and moving room to room. The extra large bin is perfect AND soooo easy to empty compared to the Dyson. Only complaint - it is light. Almost too light. It tips over very easily. Not a deal breaker. Also, a helpful suggestion -- the Dyson has a v-e-r-y long power cord. The Shark, not so much. I'm so impressed, though, with the suction (and the easy way you can adjust the suction), low cost, versatility, and ease of use -- I have recommended this vacuum to all my friends who are dog owners. Oh, wait. All my friends are dog owners 😁 Awesome purchase. Highly recommend.

Marilyn S.: This vacuum worked very well at keeping both our carpets and hardwood floors clear of kitty fuzz from two long-haired kitties. It also did excellent at cleaning up the "sand" that the kitties kick out of their litter box. While I wouldn't consider it "light," it isn't heavy and is easy to manuver. The light on the front does an excellent job of showing me where I need to vacuum. The bagless system is easy to empty. I haven't tried it on stairs or furniture yet, but because of the strength of suction, I expect it to do well there, too. We've now had it for about a month and couldn't be happier. Here's hoping for many years to come!

F.C.: My carpets haven't been this clean in years! It is amazing. The hose is long enough to get up my 13 stairs. It is heavy, (that's why I only gave it 4 stars) but this also means it doesn't fall over when the hose stretches to reach my topmost stair. The suction is unbeatable and I have a short haired dog and long haired cat. It is better at picking up fur than Dyson and other competitors with only 1 pass over. Amazing! The downsides:
* it is heavy
* the upholstery attachment isn't very effective on my canvas covered chairs with the long cat hair and I just have to use the hose on it's own
* it blows hot air. It's not like my old vacuum that blows the fur around while it's working, so that's good, it just blows hot higher up. On the other hand you don't have to keep rolling over areas, so even though it's hot, it's quick.

Reviews by PJ: Bought this specifically for the promise of a hair free roller. So far, so good. Wasn’t sure at first, as I saw some tangles, but the instructions said to give it time and they eventually worked their way off the roller. This vacuum is on the small side, not very wide so great in small nooks and crannies, but probably not ideal for a big house with lots of surfaces to cover. The unit is somewhat unstable and unbalanced when using the wand, so it can fall over if you’re not careful. And then there’s the mystery of 3 attachments yet only 2 places to put them. Still not sure how to store the last attachment on the vacuum and the manual doesn’t help.

Jo-Dee Phoenix: Would not be suitable for stairs as the unit tips over easily when using extension. Suction is very good. Power Head works very well getting my fur baby's hair not just off, but out of surfaces. Tools are necessary to get close to baseboards as the power head does not get close enough. Have to still move furniture around because the vacuum does not extend very far underneath beds and couches.

Patricia A. Collins: Was a little disappointed that the power pet brush is sold separately, as I assumed it came with it, given this is the Pet Pro model, however, Customer Service at Shark was amazing, and I got the power head at a discounted price shipped directly to my door in Canada. As for the vacuum itself, I just did my little screened porch carpet, bare floors, and furniture, and I was amazed at the amount of dirt it picked up.
Pros: excellent suction, power beater bar does an excellent job, love the swivel action which makes it easier to move it around, attachments are easy to connect and remove, hose and wand are early to detach and use.
Cons: a little heavy, and it tends to fall over easily when using the wand in detached mode if you are too far from the unit. It also doesn't seem to have onboard storage for all the attachments, only two, so other attachments have to be stored elsewhere, which is a little inconvenient. It also is a bit noisy.
Overall, I would recommend it.

P. Schmidt: This review is specifically about the “Shark Navigator Zero-M Self-Cleaning Brushroll Pet Pro (ZU62) Upright Vacuum”, or the “ZU62” as it will be referred to herein.
I bought this ZU62 upright vacuum cleaner as a replacement for my rather old Hoover “TurboPower 7400 Savvy” with “WindTunnel technology”, which I always thought was a good vacuum cleaner that got the job done and holding up to normal use over the many years without much in the way of failure (I do recall having to take it to a Hoover repair shop once for some kind of malfunction). In fact, I bought this ZU62 the day after I had bought another one to replace my elderly mother’s broken Hoover upright, and was impressed enough to decide to replace my own Hoover with the same model.
I will endeavor here to share some details about this ZU62 that might be more difficult to find elsewhere.
First, this ZU62 is a “bagless” vacuum cleaner, meaning that it has no bag and you never need to worry about replacing a bag as the suction slowly diminishes as the bag fills up. I think “bagless” has become the normal design for domestic vacuum cleaners, and indeed my old Hoover 7400 was...

Customer: It takes time to get use to with manoeuvring. I’m disappointed for the money, there’s a lack of attachments which, in my opinion should have been included. It comes with 4 attachments... two go together in one spot, there’s another spot for another attachment, which I consider as a partial attachment ( the other part is sold separately, which doesn’t make sense and is a disappointment) and there’s no place for the last attachment which can be considered as a duplicate. The other attachments are sold separately, which usually comes as a set with other vacuum manufacturers. The hose could be at least another 8 inches longer to save the vacuum from constantly falling over and the hose hasn’t been stretched too far. The suction is good! I recommend keep shopping around before making a final decision. I am keeping it as a spare because it’s too much of a hassle for me to return. Unfortunately, I can’t make a recommendation. The biggest negative is it’s not stable enough to keep up without falling over and lack of attachments.

Laura: I am a die hard Dyson fan, but my mom has this rug in her living room that is incredibly thick and every Dyson I have tried to use on it just stops working. I bought this vacuum because it had the capability of changing the suction power. It is the ONLY vacuum that actually works on that rug because of the adjustable suction power!!! I seriously have tried a variety of vacuums on this rug, not just Dyson, and they either stopped working or they didn't get anything up. This one ACTUALLY picked up the dirt and never stopped working!!!! It is awesome!!! That isn't the only reason why I love it though. Obviously, the adjustable suction power is such a cool feature!!! But it is works fantastically on both carpets and hard floors!!! I love the odor technology as well (pets can be smelly)!!!! Over-all I absolutely LOVE this vacuum!!! I don't have any cons!!! It is an awesome vacuum and a great price for how impressive it truly is!!!
