beebs: I had a Shark NV105 and I loved it. Unfortunately I broke it beyond repair. I checked Amazon and there was one in very good condition for less price than the new ones. I have pretty good luck purchasing other things in very good condition so I did purchase it. I just got it and it looks brand new!! I took it out of the box and it works perfectly. This is the best vacuum I have ever hard. Great suction and lightweight enough to lift up. Gets into small spaces and has a nice long cord. Buy this vacuum you won't be disappointed!!!

Hannah: The suction is great on carpet, not the best on hard floors without the brush roll going, so that's a little obnoxious for my neighbors in the apartment below me I'm sure. Lol. The vaccuum also only goes back and forth, the head doesn't swivel for ease of going around corners. For some reason I expected that to be a standard feature that most vaccuums have now adays. My parent's Shark has the swivel feature. I don't remember seeing that in the description or not, but if you are wanting a vaccuum that easily maneuvers around corners, this ain't it. Otherwise its a great vaccuum for the price. Lightweight and does the job. Can't complain. When I move out into a bigger place some day, I'll probably get a vaccuum that has more features, but this is a great starter vaccuum and great for small homes. :)

linda pedersen: The unit is light and when doing couch or other surfaces with the removable top vacuum, suction is excellent. When doing the floor there is very little suction and does not pick up anything heavier than cat hairballs unless i go over it numerous times and even then it sometimes doesn't pick up.

Craig A. Wassel: This may not be the most powerful vacuum you can buy, but for our house a vacuum that is very easy to use will pick up more because it actually gets used - rather than one that is so awkward to use that carpets and floors don't get cleaned as often as needed.

This Shark Upright replaced our *second* Eureka Boss - which I am still not sure why we purchased. They were heavy and awkward to maneuver. Switching modes and attachments was a hassle. Replacing the bags was a pain. We kept having to buy replacement hoses because they were prone to splitting. The power cords endlessly tangled to the point where we cinched them and then used a different extension cord.

This may sound like a review for Eureka Boss, but the point is this Shark is happily the opposite of all that:

- The power cord does not twist and tangle.

- Changing from carpet mode to floor mode is a quick push of a button.

- Changing to hose/wand mode is very intuitive, and the brush attachment and the "needle nose" attachment are one-and-the same: you just flip it around instead of fumbling/switching from one attachment to the other.

- No bags to run out of, or to realize you are...

Amazon Customer: It is heavier than I thought but the suction is great. I have had smaller shark vacuums before and loved them.
