Amanda G.: These books are just a summary of the full text written in modern day English. They are written in commentary rather than in storytelling fashion.

Joanne B: My students love these books. It’s such a fun way to introduce them to Shakespeares characters and plot that is still age appropriate. Such a great deal!

Diane M. Swanson: This is a nice collection for introducing young readers to Shakespeare on a very basic level. The fonts and line drawings are large and easy to view. However, there is not much in the way of famous quotes or Shakespeare's language, which would be nice for older readers. These are also very "light", so there is not much mood established for the tragedies which make them fine/appropriate for young readers but would not help if you are aiming for a performance with slightly older students and want them to convey the emotions experienced in a tragedy. Some of the plays/stories may not be suitable for very young children unless carefully presented, so although I could see this as a nice set to have in a classroom where students can read when they have a few minutes, the teacher should be sure to read through all of them first incase there are some that are too graphic for younger classes. Despite these few issues, I do like this set.

Daniel TavizonDaniel Tavizon: Purchased these for my 5 year old (he's reading at a very high level). These books are SLIGHTLY too much for him because they are each like small novellas and the illustrations are black and white with no color. Because of this, it's hard for him to focus on the text.
But these will definitely be good for young readers reading above grade/age level. Also good for budding artists who might like to color the illustrations themselves, which may or may not help to reinforce the story and concepts for them.
I also think these would be good books to read together with your child. :)
