Mymamatoldme: I get these both for myself as a block print artist, especially when printing on textiles, and for classes I teach for beginning block printing. These are easy to transfer a design to using pencil and parchment paper, and easy to carve. The bulk pricing makes them a lot more affordable than name brand options for an equal, if not better, product.

MelissaMelissa: I’ve been making prints off and on for about 15 years (it was my concentration in art school) and recently I’ve gotten a chance to teach printmaking workshops. The price on these is great and my students were able to carve them just fine. If you are a beginner to Lino cuts these are great.
I do have a few minor nitpicks that might matter to more experienced printers. All of my blocks are short by about 1/16th of an inch in both length and width so paper that’s been precut (I have 4x6 watercolor postcard blanks I like to use) will have a teeny margin. These are thicker than any blocks I used before and I’m not sure if it’s the height of it or the softness of the speedy carve material but it will deform a bit when rolled in an etching press - even when using way less pressure than I prefer.

E. Miller: Nice carving material. Does not crumble. Slightly firmer than Speedball Speedy carve. Makes great stamps or small blocks. I only wish it was available in larger sizes. It's a good price for twelve 4x6 blocks. I would buy again for sure.
