beachwifebeachwife: I bought these to use on an antique trunk to make it taller for a bedside table. I stained the feet with a quick drying oak stain to match the wood on the trunk. I was a little worried at first because the included metal plates used for attaching the legs were wider than the wood edge pieces on the trunk where the feet needed to go. I drilled pilot holes in the tops of the feet to make it easier to attach the center screws to the plates. I then lined up the edge of the plate with the edge of the trunk’s wood trim piece and anchored the plate with two screws on that side. I used slightly longer wood screws to attach the other edge of the plate since there was a gap between the plate and the trunk. This was sufficient to attach the plate and make it feel secure.

I love the way the trunk looks and the height is just what I wanted. Quality of the feet was excellent and they are very well priced, especially since all the hardware is included.
