GR: I have read many personal books from Dave Ramsey, Ramit, Tony Robins, etc and I liked this one in particular a lot because it discussed many of the strategies that can be implemented from a real estate background such as house hacking. Does not get into keep with budgeting but gives an overall simple great view financial freedom. Will enjoy this and future books from the Bigger Pockets Team.

Just144ice: I highly recommend this to anyone looking to build financial literacy. I gifted to three of my friends after I finished because I thought the message was so poignant.

Stephanie: Some of the steps described in the book may seem radical, especially to those strongly accustomed to their situation and are comfortable playing it safe or uncomfortable with change, but make no mistake ALL of these steps would change your life. All of it makes sense. If you’re looking for mindset shifts, and have a clear goal of early financial freedom in mind, this book is a great first step!

Steven G.: Should be read by anyone who is starting in his 20s and that want a chance to win at the « game of money ». This book is an eye opener.

I’m 33 y/o and this book totally describes what I’ve been living in the past years at my workplace as an employee on wages.

I would give it 10 stars if I could. Totally recommended reading.

Joshua Zack: So I read this one after The Richest Man in Babylon and in conjunction with Rich Dad, Poor Dad. Overall, I enjoyed the book for what it was. The book definitely reads as if it was written by an amateur author (compared to Rich Dad, Poor Dad.) But, I think the central points are still conveyed well. The criticism that that book is geared more towards the under-30, middle-income crowd is a fair assessment.
Pros: I enjoyed how the book was laid out in addressing the mindset that needs to be made to become "Set for Life" in a short time frame. You can't live a life full of physical luxuries and expect to grow wealth. I think this booked used good concrete examples of what a frugal lifestyle looks like (and how skipping your happy hour with friends every so often will NOT be what derails your goals.) I enjoyed the look into the financial impact of your housing choice. His sections discussing time-management and cutting bad habits was so painfully right!

Cons: Outside of the house-hack, the book is a little sparse with other types of investment methods. However, he does give the fair disclaimer that they do exist, but, that they do not fit into his model for financial...

Richman: I usually don't write reviews but was compelled to do so after reading this book.

Was recommended this book from a podcast that is usually spot on.
If the people that this book is truly aimed at are the future of our society then we are all doomed. In reality this book is for teenagers to give them a simple overview of personal finance OR for those that are completely financially illiterate.
It is basic, juvenile in approach and mostly repetitive filler.

The advice (which is all common sense and written by a 20something year old who still works full-time?! I probably should have read a few reviews before buying the book) can be summarised as follows:
- Reduce your spending on needless things
- Be frugal in order to save up enough money to invest in cash generating assets such as ETFs, rental property etc
- Buy a property closer to work to save time/money on your commute
- Buy a property that doesn't leave you financially stretched; rent out as much of the property as possible in order to live for free
-

There are one or two solid points:
- Waste less time doing things that are unproductive
-
