Senville 20-Foot Drain Hose Line for Mini Split Air Conditioners and Ductless Heat Pumps

Darkglobe: I know, it's a drain hose, what's to get excited about?

I purchased this to lengthen the drains of the mini splits I was installing because I wanted the drain to go below deck. This hose is of nicer quality than what's on the units.

One thing to note is that to connect it to the existing hose,I had to use the small end as the larger (the correct side) was a little larger than expected. As the hose was remaining intact for the remainder of the run, it made sense to install it this way.

I now have to wait until summer to validate it works, but if it doesn't the problem would likely be my fault.

T. Brown: Better quality than what came with the Senville unit sends true 5/8 so able to slip onto the Senville air handler drain hose. The hose Senville included was the same size as the air handler drain hose so it could not be attached without some type of barbed fitting.

Andrew: I have never worked with mini split A/C systems before. I just know how to turn them on and that is about it. During the harsh winters this last year, the standing water drain hose froze and cracked. Lucky that it was just the drain hose. It was dripping down the wall. I was over researching what was needed. At the low price of this hose line, I just thought I would give it a try. It actually was the perfect fit for the drain tray on the mini split. It was long enough that if I ever have to replace the drain line again, I already have one ready to go.

Libran: I used the hose to rig a direct connection from my basement dehumidifier to a drain, since the hose provided with the dehumidifier was too short. Once I was able to straighten out the kinks in the hose and set an even downward slope to the drain, the hose worked efficiently without any leakages. Use of duct tape was helpful in securing the hose as required.
