T: My old dog has trouble keeping her legs under her, so this non-slip pad works great. She also tends to pick up her canned food and drop pieces of it everywhere, so it's easy to clean, especially if you flip the pad with the back side up. The front side has tiny bumps and make it harder to clean it. Turning it over solved the problem.
Wish it came in a square size as my dog's legs tend to be off the mat at the sides while she's eating.

LuLu2315: I love this mat. I am so glad i found this and purchased this. I have an old dog that tends to lose her footing when she is eating or drinking and with the other mat she was sliding off. But anyway this works great. My dog likes to take her food out of the bowl than picks and choose what she eats first. So she gets the food everywhere, with her diet she eats ground turkey, veggies and quinoa. This is easy to clean, trust me quinoa isn't easy to clean on rugs or carpets. It hold all the food and spilled water from a messy dog and is durable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Jen in ColoradoJen in Colorado: My chihuahua is 15 years old and has only four molars left, so he’s a pretty messy eater, having to use only his tongue. I purchased this mat to keep his mess contained but also so he had a non slip place to stand while he ate. Thus the reason I purchased such a large mat.
This mat has made life so much easier. I only have to pick it up and shake the mess into the trash can or the sink if he’s been especially messy. The mat is pretty large and flexible so you have to be careful picking it up, but the high sides keep the mess from falling as you carry it.
It also has nubs which I guess are so the dishes can’t be pushed around while the pet eats and I was worried he wouldn’t like the feeling on his pads. But I’m happy to say he had no qualms what so ever walking on it.
I’m very happy with this mat and I spend way less time cleaning after my messy eater. He also seems much more comfortable having a non slip place to stand on when eating.
