the rotating spindle tightening screw could not stay attached with the movable jaw and keep falling off! wasted a lot of time trying to reattach but falled apart again!

I bought 4 of these on a Lightening Deal. Just used them for the fist time today on a Large lumber storage cabinet. The best part: once initially placed, it only took 1 Hand to tighten as I was adjusting my corner joint--a full sheet of 3/4 ply on edge can be hard to fine tune just right. I found I could tighten nearly all the way, then bump & tap to get the joint even (with no slipping) then tighten up to install fasteners; screws in one section, Pocket Holes in another.

These are a little pricey, but if you're planning to make a lot of right angle pieces that need clamps, these are worth the investment. I've made several bookends using right angles and am confident in these. They also use a screwdriver-like handle which is the reason I chose this type: they can be used on a flat workbench, unlike those that use the L-shaped handle.
