Tyrone S.: So far everything is great. I ordered the American pattern. Everything arrives apart as shown in picture No. 3, this is ideal because you can assemble the valves (start/stop and hose pressure) in pretty much any configuration you want. I was able to arrange the valves in exactly the way they were on my Makita compressor. As mentioned so far everything is working great, no air leaks and the compressor shuts off at exactly 120 psi and comes on at 90 psi. I see in a couple of other reviews that mention a problem with the Pressure relief valve. On the initial start and pressure up it did pop open and start releasing air but I only briefly touched it wondering what was wrong then it stopped releasing air and has not done so again after about 20 uses.

Nana: I give this item 5 stars because it does everything promised. The manifold is pretty sturdy despite it's appearance and feel. I do think the manifold could be improved and if it was, I would pay more for the product, but the manifold supplied went on well and is holding up fine for me. The directions are not very good. I used the directions and the pictures on Amazon to help me. Plan ahead. I lightly threaded everything together and practiced the sequence of how I planned to assemble this onto my compressor before I started the final assembly. Once you break out the thread locker you are committed so be sure of your assembly sequence a head of time. I found the thread locker to be easy to work with and there is plenty there for the assembly. I used the thread locker liberally and found that it gave me cover to not over tighten the fittings. I tightened everything up and got it straight with out the need to give the fittings that "one last turn" and then over tightening the fitting. I let the tread locker sit for 4 hours before I pressurized my compressor and had no leaks(I think this was due to the thread locker filling in the threads very well). I did have a couple of old 1/4"...

Had a lot of issues with this time. You can read my post, with pictures, on this item. One thing I did not like on the item I previously purchased is that I could not remove the brass part that extends from the manifold and slides. This part has o'rings in it. In, my opinion, this part adds no value and could fail. This item did not have a way to "ground" the switch.
In the first picture you will see the wiring in the switch. Note, there are grounding screws. The previous item had no way to ground the wires.
The second pictures shows an overall view of the installation. Note, the seller very specifically states not to use Teflon tape as screwing in the fittings may break the female fittings on the manifold. The vendor supplied a tread locker/sealant to use and suggested that the locker and sealant be used instead of the Teflon tape. I am a retired Mechanical Engineer. Did not read these instructions until I put the tape on the fittings. Suggest that one not use tape and follow the instructions.
The third...

Rob M: Scored a small 8 gallon air compressor at a yard sale. Unfortunately, its mode of operation was pressurize to the max the safety valve was set at, then it trips, dropping to around 60#. System never shuts off and if you are using tool that required pressure above 60#, it’s useless. I found this unit and thought, perfect to retrofit this bargain. Installation was pretty simple until I tried to install the 1/4” copper pressure feed line from the switch to the newly added tank fitting. The problem - the ferrule on the pressure switch will not fit standard 1/4” copper line. My solution was to replace the ferrule and the nut with parts from a store bought copper line fitting. Fortunately the threads on the new fitting matched and no leaks.
I fired up the unit and the switch tripped at 125 psi (a good thing) just as the relief valve started to trip (a bad thing). Thus the second issue - relief valve stayed leaking until it hit 60#. Since my original safety valve was set higher (yes, the original manufacturer’s valve was set higher as system was rated for 135 psi), I swapped relief valves. Now there are two adjustment screws on the top of the valve to (I assume) one lowers...
