Néstor V.: This amazing duo does it again! I started it and went all the way to the end in one sitting. It seems that too much is happening, but you follow and catch up alongside Batman on this apocalyptic adventure that offers something different than we would expect.

Dr Archit Srivastava: To be honest, the story is a tad confusing at times with different characters jumping in randomly. The story is all over the place but makes for a good one time read.

Max: I’ve read a lot of Batman from these two… and this one went above and beyond. The story is at same time quintessential Batman and wholly new. I was surprised at how enjoyable it was.
Congrats to the both of them. This is a fantastic pick for any fan of comics.

Carol #Nerdchyc: Enredo intrincado e bem escrito, reviravoltas fascinantes e coerentes, não tem como largar depois de certa altura. Muito bom, ótimo.

Arjit: Great story. Didn't like Batman being a puppet for most of it, but Batman vs mecha Batman is always interesting

Kindle Customer: Batman awakens to discover no nothing is the same with the world
And as he journeys across a wasteland of what was
following a superhero apocalypse not only has the environment been devastated but mankind itself has been altered this story goes beyond just right and wrong or good vs evil it's a story of a fight to to bring back hope and redemption to a society gone way too far

Luis MatuzLuis Matuz: The art is stunning, as you'd expect from Capullo and it introduces an interesting perspective from the first chapter
(SPOILERS AHEAD)

We are introduced with the idea of batman following the lead of a person a that draws lines with chalk, leading the dark knight to the crime alley where his parents die. Then, Batman wakes up in Arkham asylum and learns that his whole life as the Batman was a lie and that he'd always been there.

However, here's where the story gets complicated, as Bruce "escapes" the asylum and finds Joker's head in a jar, on a massive desert. And goes into a journey where he wants to discover whatever happened to the world he's in.

Now, I love the Joker's jokes throughout the comic, they're amazing and you'll at least grin at most of them, however, there are many unresolved themes (such as the importance of the child of Joe chill, the speed force tornadoes, never talking about Luthor's sacrifice, what happened to martian manhunter, and why'd batman break his #1 rule and overall what led omega to do all of this), so, if you don't mind not getting all the answers you might want and maybe getting a little lost in the plot, you might as well...

Ahmed Tarik701Ahmed Tarik701: Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo will always be in my heart for their BATMAN run. My mother used to read me BATMAN stories as a child (A publisher here translated both DC and Marvel comics for a period of time during my childhood) and growing up, BATMAN became my role model and number one superhero!
I hadn't been reading comics for quite a while as it's somewhat difficult to get them here in Egypt. Thus, it made more sense to get volumes instead of issues. Of course, I had been following BATMAN TV shows, animated films, and live-action films.
Then, I started reading the Court of Owls storyline in 2015 and I felt tingles all over my body. The writing, the art, and every single thing brought me lots of happy memories. I began to read the classics electronically and got hardcover editions of books I enjoyed most. BATMAN The Killing Joke was my first ever hardcover comic book to get in my adulthood. I went on to follow the rest of Scott and Greg's run and rebirth. Here I am now, keeping myself up to date with all the new BATMAN issues,
I faced many traumas, including getting bullied, molested, and mentally abused. These stories became my Batcave, my Fortress of solitude. Without...

Quan A.: In 2011, Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo started to write and draw what would become one of the best runs on Batman. While the New 52 was a horrible era in DC for many, most comic book fans would gravitate towards the Batman run as a consistent source of quality and great storytelling from 2 creators at the top of their game. Fast forward nearly a decade later, and DC finds itself in a sort of flux. Batman has just ended his 85 issue run of depression, Superman is being written by Bendis, and Wonder Woman can't get a consistent voice/writer for more than a dozen issues. DC Rebirth started out as an amazing idea, allowing characters to go back to a simpler era before the new 52, but it quickly got convoluted due to clashing ideas and delays that led to the current status quo. It is out of this that Scott Snyder decides to return to Batman to tell what he calls the last Batman story, along with his partner in crime, Greg Capullo. And what a job this dynamic duo created. While this will not be the last Batman story written by Snyder and drawn by Capullo (as of writing this review, Death Metal is still solicited, which is a sequel to Dark Nights Metal), it damn well feels like it is....
