Fish&Flowers: I suppose this is great stuff to some people, but I found it was quite far off from the Beef Demi Glace sauce I've experienced in actual restaurants. The restaurant sauces flavors are strongly of beef with a background of veggies and light seasoning. This, even though it does not list wine as an ingredient, tastes strongly like a burgundy wine sauce, and nor even a hint of beef. Too bad for me as I'm not much into wine sauces that taste like a thickened glass of wine. Was it possible mine was "off" from long storage? I doubt it as it still had over a year on its package expiry date.

THOMAS WESTFALL: This is a 5(five) Star product. This saves time and ingredients. You can add to it as I did with garlic, shallots and red wine but as a stand alone it is a great easy product. It will be my go to to make my restaurant quality meal.

Leanne VanHouten: If you know anything about Demi-Glace you know to make it yourself is a lot of work. This stuff is amazing. I used to buy it in a local grocery store, but they quit carrying it. Super easy to make just add a little water. I little goes a long way. This is not gravy but to be drizzled over a nice steak or seafood.
