ScottAAC: I like the lack of scent. The large size is a good deal for me. My cutting boards are in great shape by the way.

Brent J.Brent J.: I purchased this mineral oil for making "Board Butter" for a new wooden cutting board. Here's the recipe I used:
4-parts food-grade mineral oil - this product worked great!
1-part beeswax (by volume).
I put 12 fl oz mineral oil in a 2-cup measuring cup, then added enough beeswax chunks to raise the level to ~15 fl oz. I then poured everything into a double boiler and melt together. I added a few drops of lemongrass essential oil (what I had available, I thought the scent would be nice, but you could use other scents) and then poured into two 1-cup jam jars and let it set over night. You would probably want to use a dedicated pan if you had it-- beeswax can be a bit of a mess and generally benefits from a dedicated container when working with it.
The resulting mixture looks like and is the approximate consistency of firm butter. I used it on my new wood cutting board with great success (see right side of cutting board without; left side with), but have since discovered its usefulness for my kitchen knives as well. It's great at preventing moisture and rust on high-carbon (non stainless) knife blades, and I also rub a bit on my stainless knife blades after I hone...

R. Harshbarger: I just bought this because I got sick of spending a leg and few fingers on that 3in1 oil in those little plastic bottles that always get lost or leak their contents everywhere. I oiled numerous hinges around the house and just stuck the big bottle out in the garage. It is oil and does oily things like one would expect.
It says food grade, but I would never consume it. Maybe that means it is safe to put in things like hand creams and lip balms and such. I'll stick to hinges and keeping my tools from rusting. I also use it on my sewing machine to keep it lubed up. Good stuff.

GodKaos: Hace su trabajo perfectamente, con la garrafa da para mucho. Apenas da color a la madera, solo realza los tonos un poco.

VladVlad: I rarely write reviews but for this product I felt compelled to share my thoughts. It arrived 13 DAYS before expected timelines, packaged very well. The canister has a child safety lid and it is also sealed by a foil cap inside. The product is great, I applied it this weekend to my newly sanded board (see photo). Spreads very easily, penetrated the wood very evenly from the first application. And since I am in Canada, the price just can’t be beat. Highly recommend and big thanks to the seller for the expedient service!

Bob2619: I make cutting boards in my wood shop and need a large enough volume to soak the finished product before their intended use.
