I haven’t had the need to use it yet as I just received it a week ago, I tested it, very loud. Hopefully this will make the dogs running wild think again before they come out after us!

Krit C.: I got this specifically for hiking in the woods with my dog. We had a bear run-in recently, and although I did not need to use the bear spray, having something more powerful than my yelling for it to go away would have been helpful. This specific Bear Horn is made by the same people who make the Bear Spray. It is tiny and packable in my knapsack, or my hip (fanny) pack, and even fits into the leg pockets on my cargo pants, but is extremely loud. Worth the peace of mind alone!

Charlotte K. Lowrie: I bought multiple air horns to scare off coyotes from my yard. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but I carry them with me when I take the dogs out for potty breaks. I have an old dog who is hard of hearing, and one short pulse of the air horn will quickly get her attention to come inside. I'm sure the neighbors wonder what that sound isas well.

Vas Sladek: I dropped this canister while stopped on my mountain bike ride, it punctured, and started howling and spinning in the middle of nowhere. I was afraid it would attract bears, not shoo them away. It punctured a bit easily but clearly it worked. Luckily, I was biking alone at 11am in the Interior of British Columbia and it was hot; I didn't see any animals on my 4-hour bike ride around Surrey Lake.
4 stars because it punctured very easily.
