Valligee: Glad I bought this bag as I have a disability in my right hand which entails using a walking stick. This bag enables me to carry everything on my back without worrying about being robbed of my purse etc. This is because the opening rests on my back and it is impossible for anyone to open it with me knowing. I would recommend this bag.

roy weber: This genuine leather backpack is EVERYTHING I hoped it would be and more! Multiple ways to wear - backpack; purse; crossbody. It has ALL the safety features missing from other backpacks (the main zippers are against my back when worn as a backpack to deter theft or spontaneous opening. Wide, cushioned straps provides more comfort that traditional designs. Will be back whenever this one wears down!

Amazon Customer: I’m a bag snob, opting for brands like Vuitton, Chanel, etc. I usually spend several months looking for a bag before I find one I like and that fits my criteria; top quality leather, style, and functionality.

I skeptically bought this backpack, hoping it would be just good enough to pass, however the quality totally shocked me.

It is thick, pebble grain, top quality leather. Sitting next to a Michael Kohrs, you can not tell the difference. The straps and hardware are heavy, and well done.

The only thing I’d change is where the zipped access is located. I’m used to top access, this this one is on the side, a little ways from the top.

Anissa Jones: Great quality leather and hardware. Love the colour. The only thing I don't really like is the lining, but is on the inside, it feels very stiff and cheap, otherwise I'm very happy with it.

Inconspicuous ConsumerInconspicuous Consumer: I really love the color, and this bag looks to be well made. The body of the bag looks and smells like good quality leather. The interior seams are all finished with no raw edges visible. The hardware is also quite nice looking. I don't particularly like the satin lining, but that's personal preference and doesn't really speak to quality or usefulness.

There are satin fabric gussets at the bottom corners of the zippered flap used to access the main compartment. They seem to be there to keep both the zipper and the seam(s) the zipper ends are sewn into free from strain. At first glance that looks like it could be a very clever thing but the gussets don't appear to be very strong. Using softer leather, or wide elastic pieces, for the gussets might be a better idea in terms of design longevity.

All of that said, getting into the main compartment is awkward because the backpack straps are in the way and the top of the opening is quite stiff. Yes, the placement of the zippered flap is supposed to be a theft deterrent, but it's still very awkward. There's not really a good way to hold the backpack and access the inside unless the backpack is sitting on a flat surface and,...
