N. Zahirsky: Works great! Easy on the battery also … I cut and cut and cut

ABF3000: Extremely convenient. Grab it and cut, no gasoline and starting issues. Got the 14" so less chain drag then 16" and 18" and can use gas chain saw if bigger job. For those complaining about oil leakage, make sure the oil reservoir cap is tight and store on the left side-the right side is where the oil drips into the chain. Can cut a dozen logs for stove and battery stays at same charge level.

Frank D: It's a great product...its cuts very well..like a gas powered cha8n sae but with less noise and the Hassel of dealing with gas etc.
Batteries are interchangeable with any Ryobi product so it's great as i have a few other cordless ryobi products

Caveat Emptor: I am very impressed with this saw. It is definitely lighter duty, but I have used it on larger trees and it will perform - just not as fast as a gas model and you'll burn the battery faster. For trimming and cutting saplings, this saw is great. It can be a little balky at times when saw teeth grab on larger pieces of wood, but overall I highly recommend it. Note: the bar oil will ooze for a while after use, so put some newspaper under it after use if you don't want a puddle of oil on the floor.

Sam: Used this only a few times, but so far, it's working great. Cuts through limbs and logs almost as fast as my traditional gas chainsaw, without the noise and the hassle of fuel.

Battery life seems pretty good, but I haven't used it long enough to actually kill the battery. 15 min of use, and it's still showing full. I previously had a battery operated string trimmer that uses the same battery, so I bought a larger aftermarket battery as the primary for this chainsaw. Battery life should be "better" than a gas no model, since this doesn't need to idle, you use it only when you actually need to cut.

There is a short lag from when you press the trigger and the chain begins turning (compared to my gas saws). This is a minor annoyance at first, but I quickly got used to it.

This saw is a little longer (body-wise) than a gas style of the same chain length. Again, minor issue, but noticeable.

So far, this chainsaw seems to be doing the job well. It's the first one I grab when I need to do some trimming.

M Smith: This little guy is light, fast and easy to use. I bought it bare tool, and use an off brand replacement battery for power (Bought on Amazon 40V 6Ah Lithium for Ryobi etc.) , and it still runs great for about 15 or 20 minutes. Now, when I'm pruning Apple trees, that much actual cutting time will produce enough limb brush to keep me busy disposing of it until the battery is recharged. Also, since its not running until I get it in place, I can haul it up a tree or ladder very safely, then zip a higher limb right off. And, I have a secret: two batteries. When I use it to cut stumps down low enough to mow over, this little saw makes it so much easier, 'cause its so much lighter. And since I'm cutting at an angle down into the stump a bit, the 14 inch bar is not a handicap. I saw around a bit, bust it off with an ax and saw some more. I can dispose of a stump on one charge. For me, that's enough, 'cause then I have an excuse to rest a bit! Another silly thing. There are 13 teeth on a side on the chain. That makes sharping much less daunting than facing an 18" or 20" bar with more teeth than a shark. I have a cranky old gas powered chain saw. Its tiring just to start...
