carl: No complaints! Be sure to measure the width; 5/8" worked but after slight use the seal crushed enough to cause me to realize 3/4" was the correct size! Oh well my bad! I will order again in the fall!

Mark Inch: Gasket material was very soft and flimsy, rather than a high density product. The adhesive worked very well after following the drying/curing instructions, to the point that it took several hours to scrape it all off again after finding my wood stove door was not sealing at all with the new gasket. After a month's wait for the product to arrive and 2 full afternoons first installing and then removing the gasket, I have to admit this was a complete waste of $35.

Casual Shopper: Gasket kit provided adequate length for sealing my pellet stove door. I went to larger diameter gasket than the 1/2” suggested by stove manufacturer to assure good seal. Did not use adhesive provided in kit because in the past this adhesive did not secure gasket well and failed in short time. Instead I used a high temperature rtv adhesive for automotive application that works much better. So far new gasket installation is working fine and appears to be holding up well with high stove temperatures and daily door opening and closing.

Zdog: I bought this 22 months ago, and just put it in today. So, the glue was exceedingly hard in places, and as a result, I didn't have enough for but half the stove. 2 doors, so the one I put the gasket in, and will remain closed until I get some more stove gasket glue.
Other than that, it was easy to work with, and the instructions were clearly written. Don't yet know the long term results, of course, so can only give it a rating based on my own experience so far. Lumpy "cement" but probably my fault for waiting so long to use it. Easy clean-up, too.

JCL: Since the original gasket had to be replaced, we have used a different brand that would disintegrate in no time. I hadn't thought to look online until recently after my husband mentioned the one that came out was grey, not white. I found this and it is making the stove an airtight again. This product wasn't available in the stores in our area or we wouldn't have gone through the frustration of using the other product that did not do the job and had to keep being replaced. Very happy with it!

Amazon Customer: Talk about timing - I just installed this today. As I was waiting for the glue to dry, I got this request for a review.
Overall - no complaints with the product. This was my first time replacing the Rope Gasket, so let me give my fellow newbies some advise.
** Wear Latex Painters gloves !!! **
1). Don't do the work in your Den. The glue is messy and hard, if not impossible, to remove from carpet once it dries (I had a cloth down, but you still get glue on your fingers and if you touch something - DEAD MAN!
2). In my case: Glue is Black, Stove is Black, Rope is Black - which can make it difficult to spot glue spills/leaks to be cleaned-up, so work in a VERY well lit area.
3). Get yourself a 2" wire brush wheel for your cordless drill. It makes cleaning out the channel on the door SO MUCH easier. Use a small flat-headed screw driver for those hard-to-get spots.
4). Another messy note - when I first went to apply the Glue, there was a partially dried piece of glue in the tip that I didn't know about. Nothing was coming out, so I squeezed harder. Then suddenly a glob of glue burst out. Luckily I was pointed at the channel, so I just used my finger to spread the glob...
