pikerjoe: re=seal wood-stove...I haven't fired it up...but I expect this to work, They crush into place....similar to the original.

MAA: Not convinced I received what I ordered. My gasket is a gray color, certainly not the black shown in the product pictures. My sample also only measured 78", rather then the advertised 84". Perhaps this is due to cutting while stretched vs relaxed, but this is not clear from the product description. We'll see how well this works...

Kathy Tibbits: I'd been re-gluing a big ole gasket that didn't really fit my stove for a couple of years and bought this to fix it. It was remarkable to me that using the smaller gasket actually is more aesthetic, cleaner, and improves the burn of my wood stove. The right size is going to be the gasket that actually fits amply but within the groove of your stove door frame. If you get a gasket too big, it will interfere with proper door closure, sag into visibility, and keep the door from closing in a way that interferes with air flow. This was pretty quick and easy to install. I didn't have to remove the door to retool it. As a bonus, the glass stays clean now.
