Connie AConnie A: I am a woman with small/medium hands, and I bought an XS. They are still a little long in the length, and are pretty big in the palm. The velcro that holds back the finger flaps is sturdy.
Despite giving these 4 stars, I am very happy with this purchase and these will keep me warm and dry in springtime fishing. Women's sizing would make these perfect.

Diane: These were thicker then my previous pair of fishing gloves which made working my gear difficult. I had to remove them when changing out gear but they kept my hands warm and fairly dry while fishing in Alaska. The velcro tabs for finger tip openings really didn't work well and the tips kept flipping up and getting in the way. Maybe too much fabric to hold back? I will continue to use them when not rigging up. Definitely warm gloves.

DB: Talk about bad timing!
I've only made it out fishing twice since I got these.
The first time I left them on the seat of my truck and forgot to grab them when I was loading the kayak.
It turned out to be colder than I expected, but since I only had a limited amount of time to fish and didn't want to go back through the heavy boat traffic to get them I just spent the next 3 hours wishing I didn't forget them.
The next time out I made sure to grab them, but the temperature was in the mid 70s & I didn't bother putting them on.
But I did try them on and text them out just for fit and comfort, and they are pretty comfortable on my larger than average hands.
They felt like they'd keep my hands warm and about as dry as a pair of gloves with removable fingertips could.
They weren't restrictive. I'm sure they'll allow me to do what I need to do without having to keep taking them off and on.
UPDATE: I finally did have a couple of opportunities to wear these while fishing.
They are comfortable and easy to work in.
If there's a drawback,it would be the Velcro and edges of the detachable fingertips can occasionally catch your line while you're trying to tie...

Amazon Customer: Its lobster season during the winter months and I go fishing and netting at the pier. I was looking for a glove that I didn't have to take on and off while pulling the lobster net up and fishing while letting the net soak. I was pretty excited to take them out with me the first time.
The materials of the gloves are comfortable to wear and at first try these gloves fitted right and were warm. I was able to leave the finger tips open for both hands and it was easy to rig my fishing line and fish. When it was time pull up the lobster net, the glove didn't provide too much grip to pull the rope of the net. It was a bit harder to consistently pull the net up. My bare hands had more grip. My friend who had a net rope that was more thicker and course was a bit easier to pull up with the glove, my rope was thiner and smoother. As I was pulling up the wet line, the gloves got wet too. My fingers started to get cold. I guess I expected the glove to be more like a neoprene wetsuit for your hand.
I also noticed that when the glove got wet from the outside, the velcro for the finger tips would no longer stick and it became cumbersome and bulky when rigging my fishing...

Able: I'm 5'-6" and of average build. I usually purchase size large for gloves made in China. I ordered these in size large/XL and the fit was snug throughout the palm and fingers. I'm happy with the fit except for the wrist cuff which is tight and takes some effort to get the gloves on. Maybe with time this area will stretch out. Can't judge durability yet, so I will post again after some extended use. Plan to use these gloves for early spring boat fishing starting in a few weeks here in Michigan. These gloves are definitely not "XL" size. No large hands will get into this size glove.
