Wow! Don't know why I was so hostile last year. Just re-ordered two of these. True that that don't last forever. But, they've brought me and my grill to a "sweet spot" in which nothing sticks to the grill plates! Sure, there are a few little bit of burger left, but very little. And the brass brushes whisk it off easily. Seems to keep the grill clean, and somehow - can't be magic - the grill stays clean and fresh. I grill salmon (skin on), chicken, chops, roasts, veggies, burgers and more, and am very happy with these brushes. They replaced stainless steel ones that seemed to damage the grill plates.
Here's what I wrote last year - I retract it all! Very flimsy bristles... I expected something that would be more substantial than the nylon-bristled brush I bought a while ago. Not to be. Have another one on order that should be delivered soon... hope I can cancel. Can see why almost no one stocks or sells brushes with brass bristles.

lonedemon: I like these brushes. With that said let me paint the picture for you. I had a grill brush just like this one and loved it. Then I woke up one day and went to grill some steaks and couldn't find my brush. Turns out the neighborhood cat likes these brushes too. (or he just likes to mess with me.) The cat took my brush after I used it the night before from grilling burgers. So I had to buy some more. I didn't want any other brush but the one I had which was this very same one. I bought two more. (Just in case one disappears again.) They are very durable and get the food off my little table grill very well. I also like the fact that I can use the tip of the scraper on the top to lift the grill plate to light the grill without burning your hands.

Showtime: This grill brush/scraper is decent for the money, however I should have checked the length prior to purchasing. Overall, I'm satisfied, just not thrilled because of the short handle. The bristles and scraper are good quality and do a good job when the grill is cold, but the handle is too short to use when the grill is hot and I need to wear leather gloves to keep from burning my hand. Maybe I clean my grill differently from other folks, but I typically turn the gas off right after grilling rather than waste gas and risk leaving the grill on for extended periods. I don't "burn off" the grease and grime until preheating for my next meal, and then just prior to putting on the meat, I'll scrape off the burnt residue, ash etc to clean it off before putting my steak on, or whatever meat I happen to be grilling next. I'm used to a long wood handle that provides better leverage for hard scraping and distance from the burning heat; so I'd purchase differently if I had it to do over again, but I'll keep it until it wears out, since it was only a few bucks.

Product is well built and does not cost a fortune. Have gone through many brushes over the years. I am sure this will not be the last brush that I ever buy, but I would buy the same one again. None of these brushes are meant to last forever.
Pros-Great brush, brass not steel. Well made and has not fallen apart or ground down to nothing yet- used it about 20 times already. Great price for quality. Cons- not a showpiece for a true grunting, caveman, super flesh searing man. But it does it's job real well

DJDJ: I wanted an offset head because the Weber brush I've been using on my Weber grill is straight and the actual grill is set below drum level, so only the front tip of the brush reaches to clean. Seems odd this well-designed manufacturer didn't think of this.
So when I couldn't find an offset brush in stores, I looked on Amazon. Rubbermaid also has a great reputation and I saw the right head angle and brass bristles, and clicked "buy." Sadly, I hadn't noticed it's only 12" long. Rather than returning it & resuming the search, I simply cut off the old brush head & tapered the wood handle to fit inside the sturdy plastic handle of this brush, after cutting off 1/2" of its end too. Some sanding and a little paint gave me a nice long grill brush. I'll probably buy another brush when this fills with yutz and just switch the handle again.
