Den-Den: After reading reviews I decided this sounds to good to be true and it was. The mount is super wide and fits terrible and the mop itself doesn't absorb anything. It just pushes the water around. I even washed it thinking the fibers had to open up and still works like crap. I went back to the mop head that came with my mop and it works way better then this overpriced useless POS.

Dannyboy: The middle band is wide, about 4.5 inches, which connects to the mop holder. Normally this is only about an inch. The good thing is that is stays stable in the mop holder. The actual length of the mop head is a littler shorter than I thought, the length on each side is about 11 to 12 inches, versus 14 inches that I normally use (but the size I bought was a medium). The mop is super absorbent, and works better than a longer mop head, and is also a little lighter. It has sturdy end bands at both ends of the mop head to keep the mop from pulling apart, especially when laundering in the washing machine. All-in-all, I like it and intend to buy more.
