Harold G. Erwin: I had to replace the lower heating element in my kitchen range oven. the other type of thermometer we had been using never seemed to be accurate so I purchased this oven thermometer and was extremely pleased that it agreed with the temperature which the oven had been set for. Another brand of thermometer was so far off it wasn't even within 50 degrees; so I give Rubbermaid a 5 stars on this one.

Joseph Brzezinski: The thermometer and temperature setting in our oven seemed to be inaccurate judging from baking results following recipes. This thermometer provided a means of determining how accurate oven settings were - though, the size of the type could have been larger to make it easier to read.

Cynthia Glennan: I had suspicions my oven was not heating properly. I purchased this thermometer and with the help of a YouTube video was able to recalibrate my oven by myself for under $10 (the cost of the thermometer). If I had called in a service they would’ve charged me $90 just to look at it and another $100 to fix it! Great purchase!

M.Ellington: This was a recommended brand and unit for measuring the temperatures in your fridge and freezer. I am glad I got it as the apartment fridge/freezer were not set to the right temperatures for food safety. It's easy to read and easy to use. I let it sit for 12 hours in the unit before I first start checking the temperature, just to make sure it has time to get an accurate reading.
Not really surprised, even though everything seemed cold, neither unit was operating at the "safe" recommended temperatures. They now are. Because of health (and budget) issues, I can't afford to risk food poisoning or waste food. This gives me peace of mind about my cold storage. Seems good value for price.

Victor Salazar Rodriguez: El congelador de mi refrigerador empezó a fallar, la máquina de producir hielo no lo producía y los alimentos no estaban lo suficientemente congelados, puse unas cubetas para hacer hielo y tardaba de dos a tres días que congelara el agua. Definitivamente había un problema, pero quería saber que tan lejos de los menos (-22°C) había en el congelador y poder llamar al técnico de refrigeración para explicarle la situación. El técnico reparó el refrigerador, era problema de insuficiencia de gas refrigerante. A partir de entonces el congelador ha funcionado a la perfección, y lo mantengo permanentemente dentro del congelador. El termómetro tiene en el dial un área de color rojo que me indica rápidamente si la temperatura es adecuada (sea en el área de la nevera o del congelador). Muy buen producto y lo recomiendo para detectar rápidamente si su nevera está enfriando adecuadamente. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.
