Bill Cody: With my eyes getting worse with age, I sought out a bigger thermometer for steaming milk for my lattes. The color coded gauge dial is perfect. Anything in the green range is exactly where I want to steam my milk, and the large numbers and bright red pointer do the trick.
So far it's held up with daily use, with no sign of leakage.
Highly recommended.

Rabbit: I bought this for hot drinks. It reads accurately but only if you completely immerse the long probe, which can be difficult depending on the vessel. For example, I can't get a totally accurate reading in an 11oz coffee mug that's more fat than tall, because it's not tall enough to accommodate the full length of the probe. It works fine enough for larger amounts of liquid in taller vessels, so I'd only rely on it for that.
