ROSENICE Arm Sling Shoulder Immobilizer: Support and Comfort for Injured Shoulders

Amazon Customer: Received this for my brother who has a broken humerus and needed a more comfortable sling. What I received was NOT was was picture. It was very cheap quality and missing parts. I am returning this and will not be ordering another from this supplier. The shoulder strap pictured shows an almost faux leather looking thicker/wider strap and the one received was cheap mesh surrounding the strap. This would be very uncomfortable to wear over long periods. The thumb rest was also missing. The strap itself as well does not look as pictured.

ThisIsMe: First let me list the pros...
* The sling is very lightweight, yet it is sturdy.
* It can be used for both the left and right arm.
* It has an adjustable strap to fit a lot of bodies.
* The strap is padded for comfort while sitting on shoulders; it doesn't cut into the shoulder or neck.
* it was inexpensive.

I rated is four because it is not the fault of the sling that it didn't fully work for me.

I purchased this sling when I was having a carpal tunnel-like issue with my left arm (from shoulder blade to wrist). One of the few positions I had less pain was with my arm folded over my chest I thought this could do two things... 1) hold my arm in that position while supporting my elbow, which it should do; and 2) keep a heating pad in a position around my arm from wrist to elbow, which, I'm assuming, it wasn't meant to do. For me, it did neither well. Part of that is because I'm fat and part of that is because the heating pad was hard to manipulate the way I wanted. Jo: I recently fractured my shoulder in an accident, and was using a sling provided to me by the ER. It was so difficult to put on by myself (and unattractive to wear to work, etc.), and I was hoping there was something better out there. This sling is so well-designed and made of quality material!! I am able to put it on and off easily with one arm. It provides the necessary support, and I can wear it to work or out socially without feeling self-conscious. I was so happy to get it delivered quickly, and the price was more than reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!!

Poohbeardreamer: I sprained my AC joint (shoulder) and needed to keep my arm mostly immobilized. Took a minute to figure out which velcro attached to each piece but if you lay it flat it worked out quickly. The pocket for my arm was comfortable and a perfect length, the thumb loop was a bit awkward, I ended up not using it. The piece that goes around the neck has a small slightly padded piece for comfort but fir me it never stayed in place so it ended up rubbing on my neck. It is easily adjustable (loosened or tightened) with one hand.

K.M.B.: My daughter broke her arm and is in a full arm cast. To take the pressure off her shoulder during the healing process, she has to wear a sling. The slings the hospital provided were true and utter crap. This is the third sling I ordered and the third time was the charm.

The first sling I ordered was harness style with a stabilizing strap that wrapped around the torso and injures arm. I figured that since my daughter doesn't want to stay still, this would provide the stability while offering mobility through her other arm. I was wrong. That sling was made of a material that had give, and her arm would bounce with movement. No bueno.

The second sling ordered was very similar to this except the thumb loop (bungee material) was very small and tucked too far I to the sleeve of the sling this pulling her thumb back uncomfortably. The strap didn't have enough adjustability so my daughter's had was below the elbow. No ea bueno.

THIS sling provides the perfect length to cover her whole forearm with the elbow resting perfectly. The adjustable strap is thick enough that it doesn't roll . The cushion support is very padded and provides all day comfort. The strap provides...

1 star: the material is a very soft lightweight mesh,
2nd star: it has a little loop to rest your thumb
3rd star: despite all the chatter about it coming with no instructions, you figure it out within three minutes.
BUT! Once assembled and put on, as you wear it, the strap loosens and you lose the support (for which you put this thing on in the first place).
