I bought this book for the timelines, but it has so much more. It has a wealth of information including timelines, maps, comparisons of various religions, etc., all in color. It came very well packaged. I LOVE this book.
But I did notice some discrepancies in the timelines of the kings of Israel and Judah. 2 Kings 18:1 makes it clear that the reigns of Hoshea in Israel and Hezekiah in Judah overlapped by several years. The timeline in the book, however, shows the reign of Hoshea as 732 - 722 BC, and the reign of Hezekiah as 716 - 687 BC. These dates do not overlap. This means that the dates of the prior kings of Judah must be slightly erroneous also. The dates for the reign of Hoshea seem to be accurate because the timeline shows his reign ending in 722 BC, which is when the Assyrians plundered Israel and exiled the people, thereby terminating the reign of Hoshea. But still, it is a great book.

Quality of the information in this book outstanding. Charts are hard to read without a magnifying glass but that's ok because of all the ALL the information Just buy it....won't be disappointed!.

I haven't had much chance to go in depth on every page yet, mostly because there is so much information. This book is definitely worth what it costs because there are maps, timeliness, explanations of almost every detail of some old testament rituals and the priests apparel. I wasn't expecting that much information to be in the book but there is so much that it will take a while to go over everything while comparing it to the Bible.

This book is fantastic. I’m a Theologian and often times reference this book while doing my own writing, and it does not disappoint. Not only does it contain well-written charts and detailed maps, it also provides short descriptives on the influential people of the Bible and their impact on the Christian faith. The timelines are also detailed and not just a list of dates along side the titles of events. They actually provide short narratives that explain the actual event and the parties involved. Trust me, this will be a great addition to any Christian’s library whether for personal growth or professional assistance!
