Diane Koerper: I enjoyed listening to them sing and seeing them on the Gaither show. It was sad to see her life ended at such a young age, but she was a real trooper thoughout the cancer bout. I read Rory's blog telling about their daughter, Indiana.

Emily: I first found out about them from the Gaither Gospel Hour when they were performing songs from their album, Hymns that Are Important to Us. Joey said that those songs gave her strength when she was going through cancer treatments. When she stood on stage and performed songs from that album, she didn't have that much energy because of the chemo and radiation, but she was at peace. She wanted to spend the last few months of her life at home in hospice care. And she did. It wasn't the story that they were expecting, but they were happy. Joey and Rory have a little daughter Indiana who has Down Syndrome. She was only 2 when her mama passed away, so she doesn't remember her, not really. Rory has told bits and pieces of his story in interviews, but this book will give readers a chance to know the whole story. They lived in a beautiful 1800s farmhouse, about an hour south of Nashville. I listen to their music on YouTube, and the music is all we have left of Joey. She had a beautiful voice. She really was a gift from God. On March 4th, 2016, Joey went on to be with the Lord. She's no longer in pain. And now Rory is raising Indiana on his own. Indiana knows where her mama is, and she can...

Monica Yetman: This book is amazing, so amazing I could re read it. I’ve followed his story from when he first started the blog of Joey when she got cancer. Such an amazing and courageous couple. Although I have never met them I consider them a big part of my life. They have been such a positive influence in my life by just continuing to following his blog, I look forward every morning getting up and having my coffee and typing in his name on FB to see if he has posted something new. Love all his blogs especially if little Indy as I came to call her is there, I love her to pieces and with all my heart. Such a sweet and smart little girl. Would love to meet them both some day, that is on my bucket list but not sure if it will happen. So yeah people if u want a great book to read I definitely recommend u read this one for sure.

Louie Laing: To find true love for a short time is worth so much more than mediocre love for a lifetime. This is a true story that you won’t be able to put down. I recommend this book to those who want to get married, those who are in a mediocre relationship and to those who have failed marriages. You will find hope, healing and true love.

TwinMom: I'm a military officer and a mom. I'm not a crier...or so I thought. This book, however, made me the crazy woman on the airplane with tears and who knows what else rolling down her face clutching a balled-up Kleenex while blowing my nose loudly. I'm sure my seatmate thought it sounded equivalent to a ship coming into port rather than just another commuter flight to Dallas.

The first point to be made- don't read this book in public unless you are sure you will never see those people again. Second point - it isn't surprising that Rory Feek is as gifted a storyteller as he is a songwriter. This book is open, honest, raw, and painful. Rory discusses his life before meeting his wife, Joey, and takes the reader through his childhood, first marriage and children, and subsequently his life with Joey and her death. Rory shares his story, warts and all, in an insightful and honest manner that really connected me to this book.

At times, I felt myself being critical of the choices Rory and Joey made. I asked myself, "Didn't she get prenatal care?," "why no genetic testing based on her age?" and "Ughh, enough about God, already." Then I realized that asking these questions was...

lavender75: I knew what to expect after following his block. I wish they had clean up the glaringly basic and obvious grammatical errors such as starting so many sentences with "And". He is a good writer and if he was taught how to improve his craft his writing would soar to new heights. It was interesting, it was sad and funny at times. There was not as much about the end of their cancer journey and I feel like that if they shared more about the journey and the day to day aspect that it could have really helped a lot of people who go through awful cancer experiences and really need to not feel alone and hear from others who've experienced the same. It's a good read, a couple things offended me but nothing worth raising a stink over. It's worth buying and reading for sure!!!

Laura Lee Sims: I wish I could choose greater than "5 stars" for this phenomenonal book!! I would choose 10 stars! :) This epic God-Love-Life story could only be orchestrated by a very Sovereign, Loving, and Merciful God! There are SO many parallels in this story to God's redeeming love for mankind, as God Himself took the greatest risk of Love for us by sending His one & only, Beloved Son Jesus Christ to live, love, suffer, and ultimately die a brutal, criminal's death to SAVE US. I see that same dynamic interwoven into each real and honest word that makes up the story, the love, and the life that is Joey + Rory. God lives right between them, and death can never separate Him and them and us. What a privilege for us to witness God work in real-time, using the beautiful and willing "instruments" of His choosing, to further reveal to us His constant love and choice to save us! I am blown away by each word Rory
has written, words that make me laugh and cry and smile and sometimes all at the same time!! I love the heart and humility behind the man and woman to be able to even have this story, and to have it change the world. I am and always have been an avid reader, and in my 39 years I have...

Lisa Kearns: I became a fan of Joey & Rory some years ago, when Youtube pulled up a random suggestion for "Cheater, Cheater!". I was hooked right away by their old fashioned country sound, and purchased a CD. Then I discovered Rory's blog, which told the sad tale of Joey's cancer battle and eventual death. I've been listening to their "Hymns" album in the kitchen for months, and was thrilled to hear that it won a Grammy - well deserved! Then I watched the movie "To Joey With Love" and eagerly awaited this book's release on Valentine's Day.

I read the book in one day, and absolutely loved it. Rory is brutally honest about his past, with all the ugly, shameful, hurtful parts. Not one of us can say we haven't done things to be ashamed of, but few people are so honest about it.

Meeting Joey changed Rory's life, and the story between the pages of this book are a testament to their deep faith and deep love. Rory is honest about the times they struggled as a couple, and how past experiences and baggage cause problems between even the most loving couple. In the end, this is a love story for Rory's bride. Reading the desolation in his words made me cry, knowing that he and his girls...
