I have used the rock ‘n’ roll gold for the last six months. I really like it. I use it once or twice a week and it keeps my chain clean and my shifting fairly smooth. I was hesitant to buy this extreme lubricant. I was concerned that it would be gummy or not as good as the gold. I put some on my bike yesterday and it’s pretty amazing. I use a rag and wet my chain with the lubricant. I then shift through all my gears and use a terrycloth rag and clean off my chain and wipe off my derailer and gears. I took a ride and wasn’t expecting any change. I could not hear my chain when I wrote. I could not hear my chain or gears when I shifted. It was completely quiet and smooth. With the gold I used to be able to hear my chain and my shifting. This was completely silent. I was very surprised and happy. I ride every day. I have a touring/street bike and I ride only roads and asphalt. So I wouldn’t be able to comment on dirt trails or off-road riding. All I can say is that I am really glad I tried this and it will be my go to lubricant over the gold going forward.

More Better:
If you follow the instructions on the bottle and actually wipe down the chain really well after you lubricate, your chain will look clean and will stay clean longer in between rides, than with any other chain lube. And the performance is phenomenal - easy gear changes, no resistance, just what a product should be.
You may want to apply this more often than some other chain lubes (I typically reapply after about 100 miles), but since this cleans the chain and lubes it at the same time, the whole process takes about 2-3 minutes and you're good to go. If you continue this 2-3 minute process every 100 miles, you will have a high performing and a clean chain.
