She gives readers a clear-eyed view of D.C., not from an elitist pundit point of view, but from one who has had a lifelong career in a town that has become the epitome of everything the founders had hoped the Constitution would control. McFarland provides excellent insights to a president who is unlike any other – the good and the bad; a press that no longer reports but creates fiction. She exposes a corps of ruling elites, living in the five richest counties in the nation surrounding D.C. They will do anything to keep power in their own hands, as reflected in the horror story of what she endured at the hands of the deep state. It's a disturbing story and chilling to learn how the FBI and Congress were able to put her in a position where she was almost ready to say whatever they wanted to stop the carnage to herself and her family, despite none of the accusations being truthful or based in fact. And this from a woman who had some of the best legal minds in the nation to defend her. PNPower, Chatham, Cape Cod Massachusetts: I saw KT MacFarland on Fox Business TV, Stuart Varney Show and was very impressed with her candor and depth of experience in 5 decades of working in Washington. I was so interested to learn more about her career and opinions I immediately bought her hard cover book and loved every bit of it up to page 106, had to take a break and then dove in again to finish the last 241 pages over the weekend. I found it so well written for the average non pundit like me to fully grasp all the world issues. I could not put it down. The real humanity of her experiences made me respect her rich perspective immediately. She was not talking down to me, and helped me comprehend easily the complicated world issues especially about Russia and China and our internal American deep state government that need to be cleaned up. I wished I was with her the day the FBI came knocking on her door unannounced....I want to protect her from ever having to go through those crushing interrogations again.
Page 74, the 2nd and 3rd paragraphs explained socialism vs capitalism with a pie analogy that made it a very simple concept to describe to my liberal friends, who had not experienced the failure of socialism in...

Serenity...: This author has experiences dating back years and years including those where she learned from Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Defense Secretary Cap Weinberger. And, was a member of the National Security Advisory Team prior to President Trump's election. After his election, she joined the White House Team for a brief period of time.

An extremely well written book which goes into great detail on the subject matter in each chapter. There are chapters on the reason that she joined the Trump Revolution, Washington's Failed Economic and Foreign Policy, The Real Donald Trump, China First, America First, Impeachment, and We've Always had Revolutions....just to name a few.

The reason I found this a fascinating read is that the author places the blame on both the Democrats and the Republican parties...when justified....and goes into great detail with the explanations. After 9/11 both President Bush and Obama added workers to the federal workforce and the expansion of national security added '50 billion dollars a year' to the budget. Several more instances of both parties being responsible are in the text.
