Kendal: I recently had surgeries on my stomach. These are the best ice packs. I used them until they got warm and then I re-froze them and repeated. I wish they had more in a pack.

chadc: These are quite large so be sure to check the measurement in the description if you are thinking it's going to be one of the more standard sizes (smaller) you find at CVS, Walgreens, etc. I like it for my use.
I also like that it comes in two colors so they are easy to distinguish from each other.
TIP: if the pointy corners are bugging you, just —carefully— round them with scissors leaving plenty of sealed edges. Most of the time this should not be a concern anyway since you'll wrap these ice packs (I use a cloth napkin or a bandana) and not put them right against the skin.

Marianne: I read a LOT of reviews of ice packs (and purchased and returned some other ones) before snagging these - they are exactly what I was hoping to find. If you are looking for a long, flat pack that stays cold a VERY long time, these are the ones to get.
So far I've only used them for cold / icing so I can't comment on the heat feature - but for icing a broken shoulder, these are awesome. I found these way easier to use (and way lighter) than the packs that are "shoulder-shaped" - the ones of those that I tried (and returned) were heavy on a broken shoulder, didn't stay cold long enough at all and were difficult to get the icy areas to conform to the areas that hurt.
These ones can be moved around to cover the whole joint - I use one on front and one on back - or one on top of shoulder, hanging / draped over front and back - and then another one wrapped around the whole upper arm - the flexibility provides a lot of combinations to ice where it hurts the most.
They stay frozen / cold longer than any other product I tried - it was so frustrating with some products that didn't stay cold even for ten minutes. Even ice packs that looked similar (and even had good...
