They work great for that purpose. And if I get a golf injury, I can use them for that as well.

Sarah: We’ve had these since almost 2 years and they’re great quality. Used a lot for our kids and ourselves. We purchased more because they thaw pretty quickly and need to be swapped out frequently but that’s fine for us since they can easily be molded to fit any part of the body that’s been hurt. Their thin size helps them to be molded to the body. They don’t leak, very durable, and we mainly keep them on the freezer. Never used them in the microwave, though.

Sarappreciates: I was sent home after surgery with two massive ice packs that froze solid, and I couldn't take it anymore. I ordered these, and the difference in comfort was such soothing relief; thank you, thank you, thank you!!! These are perfect size to fit inside the pockets of breast surgery bras.

Nomad: I've only used this for cooling thus far.
I like the size of them; very flexible and useful in smaller spaces - and if you don't want it to be visible. Can go easily under clothes.
They are flexible even when cool to mold to the body. And they have yet to leak. They seem sturdy and safe.
They also get cold very quickly, probably less than an hour. However, they also lose cold just as quickly - probably after about 15-20 minutes. Given that it's likely best not to have have cold on you so long, that might be for the best.
Again, haven't tried them for heating, so dunno if they operate the same that way.
They work for what I bought them for - and so many make it easy to always have a few at hand

Ambagious: I was pleasantly surprised by how long these things keep their coolth. It's not as long as a larger cold pack would, obviously, but it's really long enough for one bout of icing, and having 5 of them means that I can always take another if I want one before the first has had time to chill all the way.
In fact, I usually keep packs like this in the freezer, but with these, I wanted to be able to use them (carefully) on my eye, so they live in the fridge. I didn't have much hope that they'd stay cool for much longer than it took me to get back to my desk and sit down, but even at the warmer temperature, I've found them pretty effective.
The paper/fabric backing is nice, but I can't call these especially comfortable, just because the edges are hard and harsh. But they're not that bad and the gel itself stays flexible and nice even when it's very cold.
