KC: When I received this, I was a bit skeptical that this little tiny thing could pump the necessary water out of my boat, but wow was I surprised. It does a fantastic job! I'm using it to supplement the broken bilge in my older-model speed boat. The only reason it didn't receive 5 stars is because it's so small and light that it was tough to direct it into the back of the hull without it flipping on its side and going above the water-line. Would be nice if there was a wider bracket or stabilizer piece that would help it remain upright. Otherwise, fantastic, compact and effective! I also bought the Shoreline Marine Plumbing Kit (hose) to go with it, and it was a great choice - just needed a slightly longer hose given the config of my boat hull.

magnus3rd: I decided to get this little thing before a weekend fishing trip to the mountains of WV. The boat we decided to take was an older aluminum 12 ft. Jon boat. It was been repaired numerous times and both the rivers we were fishing were shallow and rocky in places. I just knew we were going to knock a hole in this boat. I sported for this little Marine pump because of the reviews and the price. I also grabbed some larger alligator clamps that would fit over the posts of my battery and then soldered them in. I had some 3/4" hose, so I cut it to length and took off.

Day one within 3 rock strikes I could see a pin hole of daylight through a boat seem in the rear. Once we were taking on water it gave me a chance to give it a try. All I can say is it blew me away. It worked so well I could not believe it. Having water in the boat is not shocking since we are wading a lot and in and out of the boat constantly. When enough water had collected in the back of the boat I would switch it on and within a few seconds, back to fishing.
