The case is fine but transferring the key part is a bit more of an issue. There is a video on u tube you should watch before buying.

I read the reviews and it helped with reassembly. I took the circuit board out of my remote missing buttons and put it in this shell. I moved the original switchblade key to the new shell. The key button on the new one is smaller than the original so I had to drill out the button hole in the new one and trim out the grooves inside to get it to work properly. But it does work and I’m back in business. It saved buying a new remote and having a locksmith cut the key and program the remote. Good value if you know up front it’s not OEM quality. It does what it’s supposed to do.

I could not simply put my existing key into shell, as it had a different slotted configuration. I needed to modify the interior where the key attaches around the spring. I used a Dremel tool to widen the rotation stops. Lots of extra work, I just hope that it holds out?.

TIPS: 1) You need to remove the old key and install it into the new key fob, the push mechanism is not the same as the factory mechanism and your key will not work normally if you simply swap the pieces out. The pin on the original is a 1/16 dowl pin and it is very tightly fitted, I bent my set punch on the second key but was able to use vice grips to pry the pin out.
2) The spring needs to be tensioned by turning two pieces counterclockwise, two turns will be more than enough.
This project is well worth the money, just be aware that there are a few tools and skills needed to put the product to use.
TOOLS: 1/16 punch, hammer, hardwood block with drill hole in it to remove the pins, vice grips, screwdriver to pry the old fob apart, good lighting.

Les pièces de l’ancienne clef ne s’adapte pas au nouveau. Comme si un est métrique et l’autre impérial. Par contre le circuit rentre bien dedans. Doit coller le boîtier car les clips ne sont pas assez solide. Ça fait le travail
