I say all that, because I had to order this smoker control panel for my Pit Boss twice. There wasn't anything wrong with the first one, but to put it simply, DO NOT PLUG IN POWER until you have ALL connections attached AND the control panel mounted!
When mounting the control panel to the box, you must pass the control board through the hole in the front in order to attach it to the facing. There is a component on the back of the control board that is nearly impossible not to touch against the metal of the box when trying to put the control panel in place.
