Amy L C: It's clear how loyal and close the two were. This was a wonderfully written book of heartfelt memories. The two trusted each other and viewed each other as family. A nice tribute to a beautiful woman.

Timothy Ryberg: I always feel a little awkward when I read Paul’s books or watch one of his interviews. His intentions are clearly good and he’s not just doing it for the money/fame like some of his detractors would have you believe. He clearly cared for Diana and seems to have this fierce desire to protect her memory/legacy from the Spencers, Al Fayeds, and others who would seek to coop it for their benefit. Nonetheless he does include some details which he perhaps shouldn’t. But it’s really a judgment call because he was an active participant in most of the things he writes about, not just a witness.

Tammy: I was always taught when you make promises to someone you keep them no matter what. You often see people tell things about people whether true or not when someone dies. Obviously the person is not there to defend themselves. I believe my Grams a promise is a promise in life and in death. I respect those who keep them. I pity those who profit from them.

Tima: I waited desperately for the book because it tells about Diana's private life which I always love to read about. But once I started reading, I started yawning, and flipping the pages, because the author adds a LOT of nonesense details. For example "Diana told me she needs something", and then it's like 10 lines the author talking about his feelings before telling us what she wanted!!!! That's BORING we want to read about Diana not about your feelings and your thoughts! And then Paul goes in FIVE pages trying hard to deny Diana's engagement, saying she had the ring Dodi gave her, in her 4th finger, right hand! But in Arab culture, during engagement, the ring is worn in right hand, and only after marriage it goes to the left hand! So the writer's exaggerated analysis makes no sense at all.
Last thing, unfortunately you as a reader can never trust anything told by Diana's connections. As a fan of her, I've watched and read tens of interviews with Diana's connections, and all of them told at least a lie about her. It's why their claims are contradicted. Even Paul told lies about her

Stefanie Sleep: I was and had always been a true Royalist until Diana,s death, NOT ANY MORE, if all the things she said about Prince Charles and THAT WOMAN were not true how come he ended up marrying her i want to know.
Paul Burrels book is a wonderful insite into a very special person of our time, one whom the majority of ordinary men on the street could relate to, not a cold wet fish like the rest of the Royals.
I am so glad he is still fighting Diana,s corner and will not let history distort her memory, or her rightful place in it.She was a truly remarkable, lovely human being, one who i personaly will always mourn for what might have been, and one i will never forget.
I found the book enlightening, enjoyable and a good read, then again, i was and am a true Diana supporter for her genuine love of and for the people, she really was the peoples champion, our own people,s Princess.Anyone who thinks this book is disrespectful of Diana has got it all wrong,it just confirms to all who loved and admired her just what a lovely human being she truly was.
GOD BLESS DIANA.

Rhonda Roberts: I have read everything Diana for years and find Paul's books to likely be closest to the truth. If you look at them objectively, they really aren't very flattering. I sometimes wonder if he realizes how intensely painful it is to read of his service to someone who was obviously cracked in the head. Not just a little, either. I am solidly convinced Diana was a well-intentioned, howling loon, which is very obviously what Paul doesn't want anyone to think. The trouble is that he is distressingly honest about his impressions, so much so, that you can feel him fight with his own conscience about what and what not to share. He strikes me as an empathetic person who truly helping her hold it together on pain of his employment. I understood Diana to have issues with some of her staff, and yes, Paul does go into a bit of that with the same truthful tone that dominates all his writings. It really does nothing to evoke sympathy for her character, although Paul's innate empathy - a talent that must have been particularly attractive to the Windsors - strives to do so.

He really did feel a specific devotion towards Diana, and after reading his books, I think it may have to do with his...

Mona: Yes, clearly this man was devoted to and even worshipped his employer and, overall, the book was written from a respectful point of view. For an avid Diana fan, the innocent day-to-day insight is appreciated, however, certain facts should not have been revealed. For example, revealing that the Princess gave her close friend permission to bury a stillborn baby in her private garden. How must the parents feel about this information being published? What a nightmare for them. How would the Princess feel? This was so over the top it blatantly betrays the trust Diana placed in him. As for the interior photos of Kensington Palace, in my opinion, I believe Mr Burrell has played into the hands of his critics. Taking these photos after her death reveals a certain agenda. Was it his place to take these photos and reveal them to the world? Kensington Palace was Diana's sanctuary and I doubt the Princess would be pleased with this intrusion.
