Ken M.: I am really happy with this item. I had a set that looked the same, but were made of thin flimsy metal and the ends would bend. This set is rigid and does a good job flipping heavy pieces of wood.

Libertarian_Lawyer: This thing is great for camp fires. It’s all you need. Even the kids can use it to move a log or two. Doesn’t take a strong grip to hold the wood as you move it. Definitely recommend if you camp!

G Goode: If you use these for camping and want something to store them in and not get soot all over everything, go to HD or Lowes and buy some 3" or 4" diameter pvc and endcaps. Glue one endcap on and leave the other friction fit. Now you have a carrier for $8-10 that is airtight.

Wylie C.: After buying and using the "log tongs" for several years, I finally broke down and got this pair for my daughter to use in her fireplace. Since I'm usually the "fire chief" at her house, I bought the correct tools to use. Let's face it, if a burning log slips off the grate, or a large chunk of ember falls away, you need these things to correct the situation. I have a wood burning stove at the cabin and I'm quite sure I would not be able to keep the place warm without having them to turn logs, resituate coals and embers and poke the primer back toward the back of the stove to enhance the draught. Nope, couldn't survive out here without them!
