MickE maus: We got these walkies to use when we're fishing, but we actually use these all the time. We have fishing kayaks, so it's always nice to be able to communicate with each other and not have to yell across a lake or over the sound of the river. In addition to fishing, we take them when we're mushrooming or hiking or caravaning to our destination. When I take our walkies out, people often say they don't want to use them because they have their phones. They soon realize that they don't always have cell service in the woods or on the lake, but the walkies work without cell service. Also, it's easier to just hit the side button of the walkie to say something to the other person than to have to call the other person and wait for them to answer their phone (if the call goes through).
Basically, these are great. I like the bright colors because we can easily see them lying on the bottom of our kayaks. Another plus is that we choose our own channel and privacy code, so others will not talk over us or listen in. We also can tell our friends the channel we're using and privacy code and they can set their walkies to it and talk with us. They don't have to have the same kind of walkie.

WHTBDT: Setting the walkie talkies up for young children to be on the same channels and then to lock the settings for a 5 year old to be able to use was not easy to do. The instructions were not clear. Even a neighbor with lots of experience in military walkie talkies took quite a bit of time to figure it out. There were three "fields" on the screen to set to get both walkie talkies on the same channel, and then we had to lock it so the kids couldn't accidentally change the channel. They could really improve the instructions. They could also make the channel selection more simple (like a rotating dial). Once the channels were set and locked the kids had fun.

S. Robinson: I cannot attest to the quality of the product, as it was given to my 2 great grandsons the evening before the family moved overseas. But I can share that the boys were very excited about the gift and immediately wanted to use them!

Andy V: I originally ordered a pair of these walkie talkies for my kids. 1st pair was defective and wouldn’t allow talking between the 2 units after a month or so. The manufacturer provided a replacement set and now I’m having the exact same issue.
The two walkie talkies won’t connect to each other despite being on the same primary and sub channels.
Update: After receiving my review, the seller reached out again to resolve the issue I faced by offering a full refund. Despite my experience with this product, the seller was willing to reach out to make the situation right so I updated my review based on this.

Als Großeltern will man lieber nichts verschicken, was sich am Schluss vielleicht als fehlerhaft erweist, das gibt Kindertränen und Elternstress.
Daher Stiftung Großeltern-Warentest:
Auf beiden Geräten erfolgreich den gleichen Kanal einzustellen, war ein nicht nachvollziehbares Try & Error Geklicke. Das eine Gerät von beiden hat sich ständig wieder verstellt. Doch jetzt sind sie synchron und können - mit den aufgeladenen Batterien wieder raus wegen des Transports - dem 5jährigen Enkel problemlos geschickt werden.
Ein nettes Teil! Töne: laut. Aber ist o.k, sind verstellbar, denke ich. Sprechton ist sehr gut verständlich.
Nicht ganz optimal:
Das Display-Menü hat rechts neben dem Kanal (der ist vorbildlich groß) winzigste Schrift. Die Heftchen zur Bedienungsanleitung hat ebenfalls winzigste Bildchen und sehr kleine Schrift.
Gut: dass es in Deutsch ist.
Schlecht: die Übersetzung.
Beispiel: Wenn man den Gürtelclip entfernen möchte (nötig zum zum Einlegen der aufladbaren...
