Lou Lou: Inspirational and practical. In a "wine o'clock" culture, this book will help you either forego alcohol or consume in moderation. Great fun as well.

Pamela A.: I just finished reading the book and loved it. I’m new to sobriety...just over a month. I have no desire to drink again, and it was great to read about Rebecca’s emotions and experiences and to know I’m not alone. Sometimes I think I’m crazy to be this happy to have a clear head. I’m gaining my confidence back. I’m learning to love myself and see myself as my family and friends do. This book affirms my decision and motivates me even more to stay sober! My favorite quote from her book is this, about being asked if she considered herself an alcoholic. “It doesn’t matter whether I drank every day or binge-drank once a week. What mattered was the effect drinking was having on my soul. Alcohol wasn’t good for me, and I was much better off without it.” Truth for me! Validating and comforting. I am free!

Pumpkin Patch: This is not a book from an AA or Al-anon program that will give you steps on how to fight your addiction, and I feel the ones who reviewed it so low were looking for something more of that nature. But for anyone who enjoys drinking and sometimes doesn’t want to stop when everyone else has had enough, then it’s definitely relatable to you. We can take all pleasures too far to the point of destruction, and discovering the reason behind our actions is key. Not everyone has an allergic reaction as they refer to it for alcoholics where one drink triggers the lever to keep going til there’s no booze left or you pass out. For those that can socially drink in moderation but find themselves in increasing situations where they use alcohol as their crutch, lose control and ultimately keep drinking to fill a void that never gets filled, then you will love and be inspired by this book. I felt the beginning was slow and once I got mid way I didn’t want to put it Down! It gave me inspiration and a new outlook on how life can be more genuinely rich in experiences without depending on something to help make that happen other than what we really need-our health, family and friends. AlexandraAlexandra: I absolutely loved this book. I came across with this book on my facebook feed, days after we decided to give up alcohol for a year. And it helped me so much it is motivational and inspiring. I want to resuscitate my natural emotions ability to laugh, dance, enjoy life without faking it with alcohol. I love every minute of not drinking my senses are so much stronger without it. It was great pleasure to find out I can have a great night out dancing with my friends without having dozen of cocktails. Here is my favorite quote from the book "they were devoted to growth, sharing their message and making an impact. Most of all they were completely present and conscious in every moment of their life" Well Miss Weller you certainly touched me and had a massive impact on my life and I'm sure on many others, i am very grateful i came across with your book. I know that if i have happened to meet Bex in our previous drinking life we would have clicked immediately and drunk lots and lots together enhancing our identities with alcohol. But these days i think we would have an amazing meaningful and deep conversation and connect over a green smoothie :)
Thank you x x x

Madison: I am so completely in love with this book. Bex writes in such a familiar loving tone that you feel as if she is your friend! She divulges very intimate emotions which are filled with so much inspiration! By opening up her story and her inner thoughts she has given me permission to accept and love the journey I am going through. Although drinking is not my primary vice, Bex's raw story encourages me to let go of anything that has been holding me back. We all have addictions whether they are visible or not and following Bex on her journey has given me the inspiration to work towards letting go of mine. It has also reminded me that I don't need an "excuse" to stop drinking. Although drinking may not be my grandest addiction it is something I am tired of, but as a 25 year old my world seems to be full of it. I am ready to stop hiding behind the false confidence that drinking creates and ready to find it deep within my sober self. This is all thanks to Bex's book! Truly extraordinary Bex, well done!

Jenny Foster: I stopped drinking 9 months ago and have consumed a fair amount of ‘quit lit’ in that time! The good things about this book: it’s easy to read and the writer goes past that first moment of quitting, which a lot of quit lit books don’t do. It’s a short read and probably very relatable for women who have found themselves a bit lost in the corporate / ‘wine mummy’ worlds, where binge drinking is often accepted and they feel like it might be time for a change.
The negatives; this book is written with quite colloquial language, which wouldn’t bother me apart from the literary cliches, which really grated on me. For example she talks about women ‘giggling’ or ‘she giggled’ multiple times. It’s a really outdated and trite word… sounds like a small issue, until it feels like the only adjective being used to describe women’s laughter. There’s quite a few literary cliches like this and it felt like I was reading a trashy magazine at times.
If you can get past the writing style then it’s a decent enough read and good to hear another perspective on quitting alcohol. I wouldn’t recommend this book as a standout in quit lit and I probably...
