FrequentBuyer: This has been my favorite alarm clock. Dual alarms, you can choose birdsong or other pleasant sounds to wake up to. My only complaint is the numerals are a harsh bright white light (you can turn them off at night, but then can’t see the time during the night).

They do now have a choice of colors, and I will try the red numerals. It lasted 2 1/2 years, the speaker stopped working. Not bad.

Velveteen royal: Peaceful alarm sounds and loud beeps if you need. Very easy and quick to set alams, time and snooze intervals. Use AAA batteries in case power outtage. Everytime you unplug you will have to reset if you don't have batteries installed. I use the alarm with the peaceful birds and gentle gong. The dimmer is great, goes all the way down to no light.

Matt Hamnett: Buy it. You won't be disappointed. The noise machine and dual alarms for weekdays and weekends are amazing. You can dim the light so you don't have any light coming from the screen. The alarm sounds all have options for sound as well. The best alarm clock I've EVER had!!!! Great for kids as well with the white noise if you use it.

Purchasedonline: Great options to wake up to. Piano, birds, white noise (or buzzer if you need it). The biggest downfall is that the volume for piano wake-up won't go lower than 5. We would like it a little softer. I am not sure why the lower volumes don't work correctly.

Amazon Customer: Big fan of this little guy. Love the size of this alarm. It’s perfectly small. Love the two alarm feature and the sound machine.

My main complaint is that it doesn’t have space for the date but that’s just me being picky.

Turning alarms on and off also require a long press (rather than a short one) which is counterintuitive to me but that’s also me just being picky

Truthseeker: When my old (like really, really old - like from the '80's!) clock's alarm setting switch stopped working, I wanted to find a similar clock. I didn't need a lot of bells and whistles. I was looking for a plain, single alarm clock that I could plug in, set the alarm, and that was that.

But I couldn't find a clock like that. Everything had all this stuff on it I wouldn't use. I didn't need a radio, or the weather, or any of the other myriad things clocks seem to have these days.

Then I had a thought. Maybe instead of waking up to an alarm, I could wake up to birds or something. So I began searching for that and found this clock. I liked that this clock didn't have a radio, or the weather on it, but it did have several different options for alarm sounds.

Another thing I liked, but ended up not using, is that it has several options for white noise to fall asleep to. I normally use my radio for that. I ended up continuing to use my radio as I liked it better than the noises the clock offered.

I wasn't too sure about the clock display, but once received I liked it. It was larger and easier to see than my old clock's display.

Karelle: Got it for my husband and he loves it. Love the dimming light, the size and wooden look (fake wood look and looks great), great choices in sounds, good size for the side bed table, classic look. Love it. I gave a 4 star because it arrived well packaged but was missing a little leg underneath. My husband added a piece of felt to even it out.

Sean: I was really worried this would be something that was horrible. I'm a bit picky with my alarm clock...
But so far I've been perfectly happy with it. A bit worried that when using the battery backup it seems to fully function. Seems cool, but I don't know how quick the batteries will die, especially if I'm using the white noise. Better then no battery backup anyway.
Otherwise, settings the alarms and general use of the device, it works as it should. The white noises are pretty good with no audible loop point (which is mucho no bueno for me). The sound is good enough to not be distracting. The alarm so far has worked fine, I like having the choice of different wakeup sounds, even if none particularly stand out. I also like having complete control of wakeup volume.
The display works just fine, especially because it has infinite dimming control.
Overall, pretty happy so far. Now, if it fails me as an alarm clock more then, say, once a year, then I'm going to have a problem =P

Item Reviews: Finally found an alarm clock with most features I was looking for, most importantly being able to have full control over the screen dimmer, literally being able to dim it till you can't even see it, even at night. Battery backup is awesome and as long as you read the (very quick and easy to understand) manual, its quite simple to use. Weekend + weekday separate alarms are a great feature. Sound adjustment for alarms is great too, can set it up just right - this is really a nice peaceful alarm clock to wake up to instead of a phone buzzer or dinger. This clock doesn't support waking up to FM/AM radio, which to me is fine, because I'd rather have peaceful noises or something then some sudden radio blabber.

People saying it's dinky & too small? It's a bed/desk side alarm clock, do you need a full wall clock beside you while you sleep lol? Are your hands/fingers like 2ft wide? The size and button sizes are pretty much perfect. The only thing I can say on that though is if you're buying this clock for an elderly individual who is mainly tech challenged, then there may be juuusstt enough going on to make it confusing.
