AA: Bought this for a bathroom door -- the latch is easy to install, made of very sturdy material, and high quality. The latch is made of very thick metal so anything attached to it will be secure. Most other hooks or latches are made of flimsy material, but this one is very strong, reliable, and will hold in place whatever it's meant to be attached to. Highly recommended!

GC from NCGC from NC: Just purchased and installed this great looking hook on my home office doors. As you can see, I still need to fill in the previous holes from the slide bolt lock I originally tried. I work from home and my dog constantly comes in to nudge me to play ball outside with him all day! He could easily push the doors and go right through the slide bolt lock. Now I can control when he can come in and I can get work done without him knocking my hands off the keyboard all day! This lock keeps him out and looks much nicer on the door. I plan to put another one on our sunroom French doors as well. These hooks are well made and look great!
