Ashley WhiteAshley White: I’m a slow eater who usually has leftovers. At this moment, my fridge is full of unfinished meals from the week because I’m also not a fan of leftovers. So I reached for this frozen meal I brought on a whim because I’m a fan of the brand and didn’t know they made these in individual sizes. It’s pretty good! I make this meal pretty often using Rao sauce and it’s pretty spot on. The chicken does not get crispy. I expected this because the instructions say cook it in the oven with the film on. Mine had a good distribution of sauce, cheese, and noodles and decent sized patties. I’m about to order 2 of these to keep in the freezer for busy and broke nights

CM: Flavor is okay, but I was expecting a lot more from Rao's. Portion size is quite dismal. Not sure if I will order this again.

Lucia: Obviously very expensive—sauce is good but not THAT good. Parmesan is supposed to be a good sized slice but they grate a chincey amount on and it gets stuck on the plastic during microwaving so u basically get nothing.

A: I first purchased this meal when I was on a weight-loss plan and mostly chose it for the calorie count (it's pretty unusual to find a tasty pasta and meat frozen meal for under 400 calories, this comes in at 340). I was immediately surprised and impressed at how AMAZING the chicken is, even when heated in the microwave. It's tender, flavorful, and the size of the chicken is big enough to satisfy me- none of that gross rubbery texture you often get from microwaving lean meats. The portion size is perfect for me personally (I tend to eat smaller meals), if you're a bigger eater you may need/want to add some garlic bread or a green salad to feel satisfied. It's certainly not as good as home-cooked chicken parm- but it's a tasty, affordable, reasonably sized frozen meal that's ready in under 5 minutes. I will say that at full price it's a bit pricey for my budget, but since I stock up when it's on sale I find the cost to be reasonable.

Rhonda: It was much better than I anticipated. I put a lot more cheese on it near the end of the cooking time (a pizza mix of shredded mixed cheeses). I found the chicken to taste like real chicken and the sauce tasted fine. I am not a fan, like most people of Rao's regular sauce, but the sauce in this dinner tasted really good as it was thicker and not as acidic as I find their bottled sauce. I wouldn't do anything but bake it in a regular oven but that is just me. The pasta, even though cooked in the oven still came out not mushy.
